GTM vs. AAM 3" downpipes w/open dumps
Hey guys I have a Greddy 18g TT kit and I am looking at the GTM and AAM 3" downpipes with open dumps. Does anyone have either of these, and can anyone tell me which set is a better build quality as far as fitment? I know GTM offers recirculation as a add on, and I know AAM has had fitment issues with their exhausts. Thanks

I'd say AAM..I have it..there are no fitment issues and it sounds wicked. Really sounds nasty under boost with the open dumps...I can't speak for the other but I really like the AAM.
I Have a built motor with the same greddy kit you are talking about...529HP and 498 lb.ft.

AAM > GTM They both are the same pretty much, except GTM wants almost $400 more than AAM. I have AAM and never had a problem with them and had them on for over a year. Just grab the AAM's

Generally speaking, most people in this forum will recommend what they have. In some cases they actually did research before purchasing, but more often than not, this is not the case.
I recommend taking a look at both. Look for any restrictions or bottle necks that may exist. Also, if you can hear them in person, that would be good. Otherwise, you may be able to find video clips where you can listen to them.

Thanks for all the kind words guys. We've seen AWESOME power gains with our Downpipes on the Greddy Kit, and yes, it does sound pretty ill under wide open throttle.
zman1982, hit me up a pm or give us a call. We've got the product in stock ready to go, and we're always willing to hook up forum members for a great price.

Well after talking to some people I believe I am going with the AAM pipes. GTMs product is also a great product, but with similiar results and cost effectiveness I decided to go AAM. Thanks for all the input from everyone, September cant come soon enough for me to get home and start this build.

I agree on the AAM. I was looking at AAM and another company back in 2007, the other pipes had to be ordered and were about 3-400 more. After talking with Sharif and decidingthe gains would be minimal with the other set I chose to save the money and use the AAM DP's. Never had issues and they do sound great.
