Is this a practice head you are working on? Whats up with those gouges on the gasket surfaces?

There was one that was pretty bad and had to be welded in before it was milled, but I asked Dave specifically about these and his words were "I would run them." Dave is aware of what I am expecting from my car, so I trust him completely.

I spoke with Dave today and he said he is crushed with work this week and is not sure if he will have time to post the flow results. I will continue to remind him.

nope that is a working head, it got damaged in shipping. We welded those areas, you can't even tell they were there. Keep in mind, we do ALOT of race team, and street guys that push their stuff to the limit. We weld up entire combustion chambers in some cases, weld all the water jackets up in some of the extreme heads. Those gouges are nothing to take care of, and was easier then the customer sending another head.

forever in waiting...I will post up what we have been up to as well..some ProMod VQ heads that Performance Motorsports is working on for a gentleman in Europe. They have been really taking up some time with development!

anyhow..here is the VQ GE vs HR
we haven't valvejobed the HR yet..by the end of the week we will post them up as well.

We were going to put them all on one sheet, but thought it would get confusing.
Take note how the heads turn on light a light switch at about .300 lift. This is the valve job working. By putting different angles and widths of those angles you can infinitely manipulate this according to what your using it for. For a race application you would want it to turn on like that, but just higher in lift. Although, you are kind of limited in how much lift you can run in a VQ because of the head casting.

Chris, your looking at what your heads flowed stock(numbers on left) and what they flowed after the valve job (VJ stands for valve job on the right) and then what a HR head flowed on our bench since a few were curious about that. We will show what they flow after a valve job similar to yours as well..but first things first!
what this means to you, and anyone else who does this mod is that if you don't have the money or want to spend the money to port the heads, and you still want your heads rebuilt and have a little pizazz in them you can pick up to 40cfm!! (subtract the number to the left by the number on the right to see)

That my little bagel friend is spectacular!

port volumes appear to be the same, although I have not actually gone through the motions to check them. The intake valve is 1mm smaller, and they come with a better valve job from the factory by opening up the throat area.
