Does procharger void most warranties
I have the gold plus plan and was just wondering if all warranties pertaining to my engine would be void if i were to install a procharger
Here in Texas the burden of proff is on them. They have to prove the charger did the damage. I purchased and had the local Nissan dealer (Grubbs Infiniti) install the unit. They and ATI both warranty the unit. So anyway it goes someone other them me is going to pay.

What you say is true, but the level of proof is somewhat vague.
If you install a blower I would expect a challenge on warranty work to the engine, transmission, or rear end. All of these items are subjected to increased stress when running a blower.
I would not expect a problem on warranties for electrical stuff, body problems, interior problems, steering problems, etc. since they are not affected by the blower.
As for proof, if the dealer's mechanic says "I think the blower is the reasons the transmission is shot." that may count as expert testimony and proof of causation unless you find your own expert who can say otherwise.
NOTE: I am not a lawyer, this is just a lay-person's educated guess. (I know how some companies I have worked for would have handled it!)

Yes, they must prove that the mod caused or contributed to the problem but when you add about 150hp, it is easy to blame many things on that mod on the drivetrain.
Maybe many of you have $10,000 to throw away on a blown motor. I am a teacher on a limited budget. If I buy an ATI SC or any other FI system, it must be back with a warrrant or I cant afford to take that kind of risk.

how hard is it install the procharger yourself? if it isn't too diffifult, and you have engine problems, remove the charger and then take the car in. or do you have to have a pro install it? i have done many a turbo install, but never a super charger.

They say it is a 12 hour install but many people say it takes about 18-20 hours to install it. Figure out the shop rate, be it $70 per hour or whatever it is and you have an idea of the cost of install. Be sure if tuning and dyno cost is included in what they bid on the job.

The amount of time it would take to take it off would not be worth it.
The burden of proof may lie with the dealership/Nissan. However, I guarantee you will need to hire a lawyer in order to force the issue. In which case you'll need to decide between paying to hire lawyer to fight a warranty issue, or to just suck it up and pay for whatever issue you have.

i figured it would be about the same time as a turbo swap-4-8 hours depending on a bunch of different variables.
