Good luck OP. That sucks! Hopefully it doesn't turn into a blame game with the relative...

In FL the roads can flood real fast from the crazy downpours they get. My mother lost a motor and interior in her vette when she stalled out in a large puddle that was much deeper than it appeared..... it happens .

you would notice if the water was coming over your grill, which is where it would be to injest water thru a PL intake. 2 or 3' of standing water.

There hasnt been any flash flooding in FL the past few days either.

It really sounds like your car got F***ed really hard without lube.
Had you been driving you could have stopped and done some things to prevent further damage, but since your relative was, we don't know what happened.
I would look in the oil filter, because if there is metal debris in the filter or the oil you know you are screwed (sometimes when the rod bends, some of the cylinder wall falls into the pan, or rarely but it can happen-bearings get beat up).
You could risk cranking the car (if you haven't already) without the plugs. For the most part I think the damage has already been done or there isn't any serious damage done.
GL man........................

man you guys are clowns...to be honest that picture of the SUV going through the water is actually similar to what was explained to me. All the water had to be injested through the intake system and he did not boost through the water.

I went through the car last night got 5 sparks out the 6th looks like it exploded inside the head =/. I cant even get the tool around it to unscrew it out.

Down here it can rain for 5 minutes and the roads are flooded. This happens because it literally rains everyday for 2-3 hours and the city drainage can not keep up with the constant water intake. Most of the water that does seep away actually just gets absorbed into the ground. If it happens to stop raining and start again it can flood within minutes.

Warning *Muvico parking lot in Pembroke Pines = fail while raining.*
Those of you who know the area know how ridiculous that can get.

I am currently looking for options on what to do with the car now. Thanks for your help guys

it shouldnt matter how the car was messed up. Thats what you pay insurance for. Its called an accident for a reason.

You must have some shitty insurance. Good luck with the tear down and inspection. Hopefully its not trashed.

The puddle he drove through was rather large. and the water most likely was ingested through the intake. I dumped about 1/2 gallon from the intercooler and charge pipes. Gravity might be saving my *** here yet again.

Insurance should cover this regardless of what mods you have! My friend went through the same thing last year. This is what you are paying them for! He had a completely modded Integra, with an H22 swap on N20, and was using a cold air intake. He went through a large puddle that he couldn't dodge and the motor seized immediately. His insurance covered it, no problem. BTW, he has "e-Surance".

You must be persistent. Good luck and I hope all goes well.

I have a different type of insurance of my car through my business. It is not your standard personal car insurance.

Not sure why you'd spend tens of thousands of dollars on mods and not have proper insurance.

either way, any update?

don't deflect, your paragragh makes no sense,i quoted it in post #34 ......you know, where you admitted to flooding your car then proceed to talk about "he".i think insurance decided that you are too stupid to drive and figured the only way to keep you off the road was to deny your claim.
