Default methanal percentage question

good evening! just wanted to throw a quick question out there and see if anyone has had any experience with this. I had my car tuned with 50/50 methanol, i was wondering if it went 100% methanol would i have to get my car retuned with the new percentage? would i see any gains ?
im currently a vortech on my roadster
the current methanol set up im using is the snow performance. thanks guys

Each car and setup has a differnet response to the differnet mixtures. If you went with 100% meth, yes you will have to retune since it will run richer due to the added amount of meth. Also I have always read and been told that you will have to increases the size of the nozzle if its 100% meth.

Any particular reason why you want to change the mixture? Because if your car is performing fine, I wouldnt like to experiment with different mixtures andn have to retune for every mixture (if it aint broke dont fix it).

Usually 50 50 is the best of both worlds, the added cooling of water, which releases the combustions heat as steam(one of the things it does, but not the only function of it), and the benefit of the higher octane from the meth (although it does have a cooling effect to it, but its not as efficient in COOLING as water). There are thousands of articles about this stuff and all of them have their own theories and put each other down. Stick to how you have it if u aint got problems. IMO

We debated this issue in detail in the following thread:

https://my350z.com/forum/forced-indu...e-in-here.html

Also, if you are serious, review the NACA report to which I provided a link.

Note that some pumps are designed to work with 100% meth, and some are desined for a maximum of 50% meth. I don't know about the snow performance pump. You should verify it is designed to handle straight meth before going that route.

EDIT: The link to the NACA report is in post #80.

unless you plan on pushing the timing more or are currently knocking, theres no reason to go with more than 50/50.
