Default HKS A/F Knock AMP reads nothing and car sputters

I have a 700bb JWT kit on my 05 6mt running HKS V Pro for management. This morning when I jumped in and started the car the HKS A/F Knock amp didnt read anything and when I went to drive it the car sputtered and missed really bad. I shut the car off and restarted with the same results. So I parked it and was gonna drive my truck. Well My truck had no oil pressure ****!!!!!!!!!!! So I tried the Z again. This time it worked fine and after a lil hesitation the car started to act normal again??? What do you think caused this? Dirty o2 sensor

I do not have a knock amp, but it desplaying zero means that it has detected 0 knock counts, which is a good thing. The fact that it had some missfires seems unrelated to the knock amp.

What kind of plugs are in your motor, one step colder? You are running 93 octane? Did you get gas somewhere you normally don't (wondering if you just got some bad gas)

just some ideas to get things rolling

Tell us what configuration settings you had.

When you say it did not display anything, what do you mean? Was the LCD completely blank like it was turned off, or did it display a 0?

At that time, was it configured to display AFR or knock detection. FYI, I keep mine configured to display AFR, and only display knock detection during tuning. Once it's tuned, I let the knock detection be handled automatically between the AFK and the F-Con.

The display is setup to show AFR. When I say it displayed nothing, The hash marks that circle the screen when you first turn the car on just stoped at the bottom of the screen with no numbers being displayed. I shut the car off and restarted it and it said LEAN after 20 seconds of the hash marks circling. During this time the car was VERY hesitant at like 10% throttle(the most I would give it going down my road. Then I let it sit 3 minutes and turned the car back on and it showed the afr this time like always. It was hesitant for about 20 minutes then all went normal(was it learning the fuel map again?). This is the second time this has happened. It has only happened in the morning when the car is cold(60 deg Florida) Im thinking a surge of some kind keeps resetting the unit so it has to "remap" the fuel

It sounds like an electrical problem. We have been seeing alot of these lately. Is something in the air?

Double check all of your wiring, and especially your grounds.

I'm assuming that you have an F-CON, is this correct?

I'll stick with my previous recommendation. Double check all of your wiring and especially your grounds. If you do not find the issue, take it to an HKS tuner/dealer.

How does it act on cold starts? Does it run fine for a while and then start to run worse, or does it run bad right off the bat?

If it is fine on cold starts then progressively gets worse, I'd try replacing the o2 sensor.

No it runs great cold, warm hot, part throttle, full throttle....It only has problems when the knock amp takes a ****. Then when reset, it takes about ten minutes and its back to normal.
