After living in South Korea for 5 years, I decided to move back to the US for more schooling. I seriously thought about bringing my Z back to the US and turn it into a full time race car, but I got a great offer, so I ended up selling it. I'm going to miss it.
Z was my first car to go FI and I learned my entire FI knowledge on here, especially because there's no 350Z savvy tuning shops out here in Korea. So I'm very grateful to all the contributors of this forum and people who dared to try stuff that no one has tried before. You guys never seize to amaze me. Long live the FI forum!

This may have been a more fitting pic for this thread.
You really had a nice Z.
Sexy Z! Luv the color!
Good luck here in the States. When you do goto build your next platform you will have alot more support here. Esp if your living in CA Build upon the HR engine. Only way togo
If its not too personal, how much did you get for your car in Korea? I've always thought you could sell a Z for big bucks over there.
Shipping cost is about $2000. Then you MUST pay Korean import car tax which is 36%. So, your $25K car becomes $34500. Then I have to pass smog, noise, and safety tests. In order to pass these tests I have to hire a shop to detune the car and etc, which costs another $4000. So, in the end your Z suddently becomes near $40K.
It's not worth bringing Z to Korea just to make a profit. Also Nissan Korea just opened up last year and they are officially selling 370Z auto for $55K in Korea now.
