OK....so this is a daily driver, hauling kids around.

Any kind of engine swap or even a built VQ for that matter is a hazard to your family. Not the smartest thing in the world.

Bolt on a vortech and call it a day, unless you enjoy being stuck on the side of the road or exposing your kids to fire hazards...

^ If family are gonna occansionally ride in it i would say do whatever you want. But this sounds like it's his DD, and Vortech with a good tune is safe and ups the power nicely for the street. He also won't have to re-mortgage his house to get it. I am just tryin to give an honest opinion, so OP isn't in the doghouse when his family car is down for all the things that come with all out performance builds.

There is a new Z06 vette advertised at the local Chevy dealerfor 61k. If you turbo or swap the motor on your Z you will never get the money back thus the upgrade is a total loss. If you want real power & dependability with a warranty, get the vette. It runs 11.7 in the 1/4 miles at 123 mph which are numbers that are hard to compete with. It handles well too.

wasn't suggesting the swap itself was strait forward but the motor itself is deffinitely going to be more realiable than built+TT. Do you disagree?

C5Z is not an LS3, it is an LS6.

lol @ the people who think an LS2 swap wou ld be easy, reliable, and never have any issues.

If your goal is reliability, always boost the factory motor before swapping something else in.
