Default Vortech SC on a 100k miles engine?

Hey guys,

Is it madness to put a Vortech Supercharger on a stock block and driveline that has done a 100k miles?

I'm asking because I've found a cheap 350Z with 100k miles in excellent condition..

I've also checked out two 40k miles cars which were both in much much worse condition and a lot lot more expensive...

whatever floats the boat...but it seems like a F/I would put more strain on your engine parts...and if they've already been through 100k, you might be chancin' it

As mentioned hundreds of times on this forum, have the motor checked out (compression, leakdown tests) to make sure the engine is still healthy. Any problems that may exist in the motor now will only be amplified by adding boost.

as long as your comp. test and leak down check out its fine. I've been there with no problems, even with 10+psi (480+whp) and running the hell out of the engine. Just get a solid tune and if your nervous just turn down the boost for less power.
