Vortech 2.87 pulley and its components
You know I know I'ma get flamed for asking this, but I'ma gonna ask anyways. I got the 2.87 pulley upgrade with a machined pulley for the Timrod setup, 550cc RC's, and Oil cooler to prepare for my 3.33 to 2.87 upgrade. Does anyone know if I should get anything else to help prevent anything possible engine problems in the future?
wat?
So you want to prevent engine failure?. Well you cant in the world of FI . You can try, meth to keep the temperatures down and FRS... oh and A GOOD TUNE! other than that, there isnt much.

So many threads on this. I was reading one last night with a crap load of info on the vortech systemsa and how to make them safe. You can get a better oil cooler since your stock oil cooler is doing double duty, oil catch can, lower compression head gasket, meth/water injection, seems like you have the bigger injectors, better fuel pump, tune to increase rpms
Here you go! https://my350z.com/forum/forced-indu...questions.html
They mention that you should also try nd get some headers and get them thermo coated and get ss clutch lines so that the exhaust heat doesn't melt the stock lines. Very informative thread and was a good read. Enjoy!

^^^ sounds to me like those threads didnt do u very good cause u obviously are still lost... tune to increas rpm's?, the worst thing he could do is increase rpm's, u think thats what a tune is for?, try to get some headers? headers dont increase any safety..., oil cooler is good to have but not needed really unless u track the car imo, but yes it is good to have if u have the money to spend on it i guess...oil catch can will just catch any blow bye which really u shouldnt have, lower compression head gasket, u cant even do that on a stock block vq???, pretty pointless anyway if u could, rods are the weak point, maybe ur saying low compression pistons and that takes u from a stock block to building ur motor, water/meth is good if u want an aggressive tune and to get all the power u can out of ur setup with a little added safety but not needed as long as the tune is a little conservative imo..not someting id do, safety is in the tune for the most part, theres alot u can do to add extra safety but it depends on how far u wanna go.. keep reading

Right now I have DC ceramic headers, SS clutch line, Walbro, Utec, 440 DW, HKS Exhaust, and Stillen Test Pipes. Thats all thats installed a few months ago with long hours on weekends putting it together. I got all my info from the forums on install and everthing great, just want more power, with less risk of failure as long as I have the right components.

Might wanna step that up to the D-Works 600s without having a fuel return. The meth is a nice way to add safety but you will need to add a map selector switch to your Utec. I run my meth on really hot days or below 45 degrees on my non-meth map just for a little extra safety.
