TT sponsorship anyone?
Trending Topics
We are working on a 7 year old platform not alot of companys look to sponsor cars with TT kits now a days. You might get a bit of a break if you are doing a build that pushes the envelope but I doubt you will get anywhere close to a free kit. I run a Vi-PEC ecu and I got some free tuning for being the first car on this platform to use one unless your the first or one of the first doing something different your chances of a free lunch are less than slim.
So what are you doing to your car that is special enough that a TT company will want to sponsor you???

^^^ I agree with you totally. I don't expect any company to sponsor a TT for my Z. I just figured like you said, somebody would cut in some breaks on the process.
Perhaps a new vendor offering new services, etc. or a shop wanting to gain some exposure in the area. These are all slim chances but I thought I ask anyway because closed mouth doesn't get fed, lol
I'm looking into the APS, Greddy and Power Enterprise kits but I'm doing more reading and research before I make my decision.

There are several guys on the forums who have "gotten breaks".
None of them will openly admit it though
You generally wont get sponsored for performance parts if your car is gaudy, or you are into the show scene. This car is 7yrs old, do you seriously think nobody has done a body kit, drop and wheels before?
Generally, shops sponsor guys who are well known, respected and have accomplished something within the platform and the community.
Basically queef cannon, you have no shot with any legitimate shop as nobody knows you

You do realize that a sponsorship is a contractual agreement and you are required to do things under that contract, such as take your car here, attend this, attend that, show here, run here, promote here, etc. RARELY is it ever full and is usually parts or labor, not both.
I say this b/c often times they look for this "sponshorship" for the freebees not realizing what they're getting themselves into. Some people may not see their car for months as the "sponsor" has it on tour using it for promotions. Ever been to the old HIN shows? How do you think they get some of those cars to travel the whole tour? I can promise you the owners don't travel with them....the sponsor wants the car at EVERY show...to promote their business (whether the owner can be there or not).
Now wit that said....this is an old platform so the only way to get a "sponsorship" is to most likely represent something that is completely unrelated to cars. Think like an energy drink or something like that. And even that is going to be rare and it prob wont be anything close to TT's.
