With the stuff GTM is doing with the kit this thing has some serious potential for a supercharger. But the main difference is reliability. If you wanna have a supercharger with a reliability level close to some TT kits then go with a vortech, but IMO the HKS s/c is the smartest choice for a s/c kit. If people want upgradeability and huge gains they'll do TT from the start.

Then again I'm pretty bias cause I'll be purchasing this kit haha

BTW congrats on the install OP, thinkin of doing this one myself also, but I have a shop in Calgary here that specializes in HKS, so its tempting to just get a shop to do it.

GTM hasnt offered anything new for this kit since it came out.

And will GTM even sell you their upgrades if you dont buy their blower from them? I would make sure

They sell the modified blower with their upgrade packages. But, I think not the blower by itself.

Another thing i would do if had the pleasure of running this setup is lighten up the Z. Alot of times i see people focus on hitting the ceiling of the stock motor. Carbon Fiber Hatch, lightweight wheels and some other lightweight goodies should allow you to make the car even faster without pushing the motor closer to it's limits.

was the dyno done before or after the car was tuned? from the vid it seems the engine responds fairly faster than stock and revs more lively at lower rpm as well... just my 2 cents

^^ I still haven't gotten my car tuned for more power yet. This dyno is with the stock Fcon tune the kit comes with out of the box. My car overall is faster in any gear and rpm. Power comes on really nice at around 2500 - 3000 rpm. Overall, I've found this kit very reliable and worry free. At the moment I am throwing my extra money into home renovations and I know I don't need to worry about "needing" to get it tuned, etc. Great product.
