It begins....

Got to the shop today to see and take shots of the progress.
Noticed a new sweet ride on the way in to get some work done.
Looks like VA's birds are in a giving mood today
As always walking into the shop you're greeted by Tuna.
Lets see what Function Tuned is working on today....
The intercooler has been given the stealthy look...
... and my HR is eating Kens arm off.
Injectors installed, fuel rails done...
Garretts are in...
Dave working on the screen for the HKS CAMP2 system that will be installed shortly...
A friend of mine, Ahn, has his ride complete. Had the engine built and is putting out some nice numbers...
Had to go but was told the fuel pump would be taken care of later today also.
Not sure if it's the first 07 F/I'd out of there. I'll ask and see.
Clutch, it's automatic. After I recoup a little from the $$$ spent on the last few projects for the Z I'm gonna beef it up to take advantage of the TT Stage 2 kit has to offer. Also already pricing out internals. So, next project will be building the engine and doing a tranni upgrade.
A lot of people were saying to build the engine up now. But knowing me and my addictive nature and pushing things. I figure I'd get used to a little over 400 rwhp with a conservative tune first. This will be my first ride with that much power. But decided on the stage two kit b/c reading what others have said about soon becoming bored with the power and with knowing the way I am I'll want more in the near future. Heck, when I bought the ride I said the only other thing I'd change on the Z was the wheels... now look at where I'm at
I've accepted the darkside and have appropriately named my ride "Lord Vader"
Looking forward to seeing what you have planned for yours. Glad you're gonna be able to move forward with your project too.
Yes it is....
Talking about the *** or the build?
Stayed tuned, more to come.... and with more shots of big clouds avatar much more to come
[ba dum dum ka-ching... thank you thank you i'll be here all week, don't forget to tip you wait staff]
Really? My intentions for the whole project was to get chicks. But hey going a little faster is a nice bonus
Well.... ok. But the folks at work are wondering why I've got the camera pointed at my ***. Have some outta focus ones but I'll post them ASAP
Yeah, I've always been happy with Dave and Function Tuned.
Like I said above it eventually will get built. I'm predicting in a years time to get aquainted with the new power and the nature of boost. That and saving up on $$$ is a good thing too.
Also, with the HRs being able to handle more than what I'm shooting for, at the moment, HPwise but I'm like the new guy in jail, "I don't want to blow anything". So trying to take this in intelligently, get used to the powa, build up some scratch, build up both tranni and internals, bump up the power is my next course of action. May cost me a little more in the long run but I feel I'll be very happy with the results at the end of this current project.

Sorry for the late update.
Friday's, the 26th, photos:
Cubby screen for HKS CAMP2
Photos taken on the 27th:
Dave is predicting that around the middle of next week my Z should be completed.
Some questions came up before and Dave stated that this isn't the first HR GTM coming out of his shop. There were two others.
The material he used to black out the intercooler was a thin, quick drying acrylic engine paint. He said that it does not compromise the ability of the intercooler to do it's thing.
Some other eye candy that I captured with the camera today is Zeus' GTR.
Enjoy and will have more photos coming soon.

Have a bunch of pics...
Can only post a few right now but will update shortly.
Enjoy!
Other eye candy in for some work
Dave working on installing the TiAL wastegates.
Here's where the down pipe needed slight modification so that the steering shaft would clear.
Some brackets didn't line up and needed slight modification...
The Z will not be completed on Wednesday but it's looking like it could be wrapped up in less than a week.
More updates to come.
