Default t-bolt clamp sizes for vortech supercharger

I'm going to order some t-bolt clamps for my vortech supercharger setup and i'm lost at what sizes I need.

Per the manual i have
10 #40 clamps
2 #44 clamps
4 #48 clamps

When i look up sae sizes it gives me a huge range for those which would fit in 3 different t-bolt clamp sizes. Worm gears obviously have a larger range of size to them.

So, i don't have the car here to measure (it's at home in indiana) so that kills that idea. I was looking on the list of hose connections to try to sort that mess out but vortech lists them weird.

trying to interpret it here is what i think the sizes are.

blower 2.75 to 2.5
lower connection by the bpv is 2.5-2.5
pipe to intercooler: 2.5-2.5
intercooler to pipe: 2.5-2.5
pipe to cast pipe: 2.5-2.5
cast pipe to maf adapter: 2.5-2.75 (not sure)
plastic maf to curved pipe: 3.0-3.0
curved pipe to TB: 3.0-3.0

ok, if that looks ok for sizes then what sizes do i need for t-band clamps? Each of those are inside diameters of the coupler so i'm not sure how wide the outside diameter is. Do i just get a 3" tband clamp for a 3" coupler? the 3" tband clamp has a range of 3.11" to 3.43".

10 2.5" clamps
2 2.75" clamps
4 3.0" clamps

all of your coupler sizes & clamp counts are correct. get the same size clamp as the size of the coupler - 3" coupler, 3" clamp. there's plenty of adjustability as the clamps come big and allow you to clamp down pretty far.

FWIW, you can only really see 8 clamps (TB 2, MAF adapter 4, cast pipe 1, blower 1). t-bolt clamps can be a PITA to service once installed, particularly if you're trying to hide the nut and rod.

ya, i'm doing it for reliability. Most of these worm gear clamps are falling apart after having my tubing off and on so many times. I've already had 2 of them break randomly (noticed they were just gone from the car when i was working on the car).

thanks for confirming! i'll get these ordered so i can have them before i head home to play with my car next weekend.

Fyi, if you have a 2.5 inch pipe, your coupler will be larger outer diameter and a 2.5 inch t bolt clamp wont fit.

Also, couplers are usually measured by their inner diameter. I bet you see what I'm getting at...

the 2.5" t-bolt clamps i bought from hose techniques fit my 2.5" connections fine (blower & cast pipe). indeed, i need to trim off some of the excess thread on the rods.

i think they lable them 2.5" clamps because they fit a 2.5" coupler. The specs say they are 2.91" down to 2.6" so they would easily fit a 2.5" coupler

Not all t bolt clamps are the same. I have 3.5 inch t bolts on my 3 inch couplers and it fits perfect. Just saying.

i agree there is probably a variance between companies. That's why i looked at the max and min size for these clamps.

i'm sure some companies have a min size that would allow them to be used on the next size down coupler.

did 3" clamps not work for you? if so, can you post up the manufacturer?
