I stated this in one of your threads. You are better off going to a 3.12 pulley and retaining the stock 6600 rpm rev limiter. You are asking for trouble when you rev a DE motor to 7k. Ask Nexx about when he raised his rev limiter on his old supercharged setup. Anyway, I didn't mean to take this thread off topic.
beat me to it..i was just about to tell him the same thing...i would never bump the rev limit up unless i was just n/a...

I would love to know what this is all about but cannot find anything on it...do you have a link for more info?
^^^yup, mine used to do it, had to send it to vortech under warranty and they put a new diaphram in it..If u dont have warranty u will have to buy another one..
adjusting the valve isnt gonna do it..if it was fine and now is whistling it is not fixable and will keep whistling adjusting the nut will only bring the whistle in sooner or later in the rpm's ..trust me i messed with it for about 5 months..
so i buy another bypass valve.. car is at body shop right now... and is it a big install? to take off and put new one on?
u can try the filter but it is not gonna take the whistle away..it may muffle it a little but thats all it did for me..It is a very easy swap and is only 2 bolts...jack up passenger side and slide in under the pass. front wheel and look up..its right there...while your down there check some other stuff out..if u dont know where your bpv is then i am scared for you...You really should explore your car since you didnt do the install and just note what is what and learn a little about it for future reference..
if u decide to mess with it trying to adjust it just break the lock nut free and using an allen key turn the adjustment screw in or out...there should be about 6-7 threads showing when the lock nut is tightened down, turning it in too far will cause a flutter sound when it blows off which is compressor surge so either get to that point and back it off a few turns or count your thread to get 6-7 threads showing
