so there is what two people with a HKS!?!

its like a mack book...no one has them so not many known vulnerabilities

the vortech is tried proven and has its issues exposed...

If you want raw power, trade in the car and get an M6, M5, 911, or 2009+ CTS-V.

Vortech is more used like windows, yes issues but you can work through them.
I havent had any expect a rebuild after 30K of drifting, so I got new seals put in...so I upgraded the SC to the T trim while they were in there. This is a known thing for ALL blowers.

HKS has a small footprint on the market and not as many success story, so not as many post on difficulities and issues.

I run vortech T-Trim

just an example...
oohhhh 1/4 mile. The Z or G is not a 1/4 mile car dude. I will run any TT on a stock block and pass him top end anyday with my new set up. old set up for under 5K put down 410RW and 326TQ...hmmm more than your expensive KIT and installation. I did the work myself.

any challengers!?!?!? and I paid 1/4 of the price!

TT is over rated unless you go built, then you go almost always go too much HP then you have a money pit. Hands down the Vortech is the best FI application for daily use, fun, cost, and ease of installation.

How many TwinTurbo guys put in their kits vs a Vortec or HKS SC?

I cant wait to get my car back in a few days...stock block top end runs on youtube to come soon from the track!

so 4shizzle, did you get your car back? how is it?

how much psi are you getting with it?

also re your: "HKS has a small footprint on the market and not as many success story, so not as many post on difficulities and issues."

what do you mean by difficulties? I'm guessing a reputable shop that know what their doing should do well w/ HKS install (ie GTM)

^ its on the dyno as your read this....I think im currently at 411with SAE smoothing at zero...so the typical 430-440is with smoothing set to 5. all the dynos I see here have the smooth set to 5?!?!? why?

im had outpatient surgery today so I am so mad I cant go get her. My buddy with the TT APS put down EDITE 415 and about 384 FTQ on the same dyno at 10psi. So I am thinking I am about 12psi. Ill call and get more info... i just left the Dr. Office. Blackberry FTW!

EDIT on HP

You have it backwards...smoothing will usually LOWER the peak number the higher you put it...it's usually only 2-3whp though. It's used to make the lines look smoother.

Ninja edit!
I meant STD vs SAE

lol

getting old in my young age...after 30 things are shoot I tell ya!

hmm well my buddy put down 389 dyno dynamics, then went and got a DJ at 437 STD, then a dynojet on a diff dyno and hit 415ish..forget, but he wasnt happy ...lol but it was SAE.

I have been using that measuremnt for about 2 years because of that day....but std vs sae

Daum. I guess I am off. I will get a dynapack and another dynojet here soon to verify.

i am anti 1/4 mile and dynos... tracks or beep beep 3rd tells it all.

SAE 411 RWHP with 355TQ after many many runs... top hp 1st run was 418 but the tq was a bit lower.

the aps tt put down 429RWHP and 399TQ...at 9psi... he was at 10 and he hit 449.9rwhp and 420TQ but they turned the boost down on the stock block....lol

maybe its driver, but I caught him at the end of 4th and I had a passenger, full tool kit, floor jack, and subs in the trunk..not to mention the HUGE 20inch fronts and 21inch rears.

Frank @Hills Garage, said if I change to OEM rims id gain a larger dyno, but hey, this is how I drive the car so why not get actualls..

all on 12psi...

if I roll 3rd...it will break the 295s lose at 6K rpms! But I welcome sideways activities in my car so its great!

im done with performance....I dont have a fuel return but plenty of fuel left if needed. I wouldnt go much higer without one though.

now
