I'm not sure about the sensitivity on the knock lite but is 1 the most senstive setting?

Yes, it is. Today after playing with it I've come to the conclusion that it simply doesn't work on my car. I've searched on the topic but I have yet to come upon a G/Z running a knocklite that actually works.

Ok, good luck. I'm pretty sure Jiining did make it work but he doesnt post here anymore. I had PM conversation with him and he said he got it to work to pick knock just when utec detected it.

well hitting the plenum in theory should be enough for knock but it's actually a far point from where the sensor is. The sensor is directly into a water jacket on the block below the intake. If you tape the side of the block that probably will be a better place to induce a knock type noise to the sensor.

have you ruled out a Lemon device? Call Tuboxs and tell them your problem... You have Osiris right? Are you seeing if your ECU is switching to the High_Detenation map or do you see your stock ecu pulling timing? I know it's not the best way but that is the only way to find out if your knock sensor is actually working...

I have osiris, but I can't find how to view knock information anywhere in cipher. I'll call Turbo XS to see if this even works on the VQ35.

click on "monitor" then make sure you select "timing advance"

watch teh timing advance at idle. it will hold steady usually within 1 degree, then have someone go beat on your block and watch the timing. It will drop a few degrees and then you know it detected knock.

It'll show how timing go down if it detects knock correct? But there is no monitor that actually shows how much the knock sensor is removing.

I dont know about idle but on load you will know when the ECU subtract timing when knock is detected. It is tricky coz it also depend on the RPM since ECU will always subtract timing around 4000rpm. Just look for a huge drop in timing...

no, ours doesn't have a special knock log or anything. You just watch timing. Like stated above, there is a good drop in timing. It will be noticable. If you save the log and look it'll do something like 30,30,30,31,30,25,30,31

so there's an obvious pull of timing there.
