Default turbonetics opinions

I recently bought my first 350z, a 2004 roadster with a turbonetics single. I do have experience with turbo cars, it seems to me like the turbo is almost too big. seems like it takes forever to spool up. anybody else have this complaint or is it just me? thanks

What other mods are done to the car? If setup right the TN kit isn't all that bad but only if you plan on leaving it pretty much bone stock + kit. NEVER CHANGE THE BOOST LEVELS!!!!!! lol

turbonetics spools just as slow/fast as any of the single turbo kits for this platform. dont let the turbonetics haters get you. kit can make 500+whp properly setup on a built motor. i been running 410whp for over almost 3 years. listen to the advice of getting tuned/maintenance and u will be ok.

OP are you trying to hit boost at lower RPMs or are you allow the car to rev higher before hitting boost?

It doesnt start spooling until about 4000 rpm in first gear, seems kinda high to me.

because 1st dont have that much load. 1st geat goes by so fast and there is not enough to spool a turbo that size. It is a good thing if you think about it because it will help with traction.

In my experience with the kit and recent tune you should be at full boost around 4k rpm and atheng got it right also on the 1st gear spool.... all depends on how your tune is setup!

Post up the dyno sheets if you can. At what RPM is peak torque on those dyno sheets?

I've been having alot of issues at the track hitting full boost at 2.5krpm. Fun on the back roads though.

Just leave it at the boost level you are running and be happy with it.Do not change anything ......unless you are going for a stand alone ems.
