Just a question...hope that doesn't confuse your 8 well thought out ones.

That was a very very good question. So I compared this set of pipes with a branded set to find out that I have a problem. I will ask both and come back with the answer(s).

Nice point (the best so far) thanks Driven1

No way it is on ebay, it has to be awesome. All he needs is a split second box, and 440cc injectors and he can definately beat a RSX.

only if they ebay injectors and he street tunes the SS box himself. Paying money would just make no sense not paying is something the rest of us should have tried a long time ago.

Why go through all the trouble of custom fabrication when you can just get something like this:

OP if your trying to save money just buy someone's used kit that has upgraded you can get those cheap, you may have to send the turbine off for a rebuild but you know that the setup is made for the car.

Catastrophic engine failure is a guarantee if you are trying something new. From my experience, just because a shop works on cars and turbo builds. If they don't specifically work on Z's they probably are going to screw up.

CFT a company that builds crazy setups near me. They know honda and supra like the back of their hands. They were close so I went with them. Lets just say it was a BAD idea and I ended up paying for another tune from Forged Performance. I would ask the shop your going to how many Z's they have worked on. If you don't see Z's in the shop turn around.

Obviously you dont have alot of money or you wouldn't be trying to go cheap.

I hope this car isn't your DD.

Bottom line.........BAD IDEA!

All very good points, I say do it, if it works more power to ya but dont be surprised when the motor gives up the ghost and you have to rebuild from the bottom up.

That being said, I'm in for results/fail/surprises/pics.... this is going to be great

I leave in greece in a small town with 100k of population. In my town there are 4 350z and we all know each other The shop that Im gona make the install has never seen a 350z before mine. They are dealing with upgrades in general and have a great deal of experience in drag races. Money is not the main issue but the entire thing as a project and the opportunity to prove to many guys here that there are other options as well. As I said its easy to get 100hp out of 10k, many people here have shown the way but it too easy.

I have build my DIY carputer out of this forum and had a lot of help, with out this knowledge I whould not have done anything ( things like rear amplifier, the incredible line-in mod from the tape, and the resistor mod on the cars mic and many others), many people helped nobody made ironic comments and the final result was great , “half priced“ without any catastrophic results.
See pics at www.easypc.gr/350z
Many staff from ebay like 7” tft touch screen
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/7-VGA...fAudioQ5fVideo
and Car PC DC-DC 150W
http://cgi.ebay.com/Mini-ITX-M2-Car-...item4cef0a6e10

Im not so naive just to go out and get a kit for 1k and expect miracles from it. Im doing my research picking knowledge from everywhere I can and at the end of the day I will make up my mind witch is the best option.
Driven1 made the best point so far about the pre bent pipes that is the main problem so far, and from my point o view it looks very hard to find a set of pipes that will be car specific without being a known branded.

Oh boy... as if using a POS turbo kit off of eBay wasn't bad enough.

Installation

* We are the parts supplier, not mechanic. We can try our best to help with generic questions, but it is best to consult a professional turbocharger installer with specific questions.
* There are no installation instructions included. The install is simple and most customers install it themselves in a weekend. If you cannot figure it out or feel uncomfortable with the installation, please have a professional assist.
* Most of these parts are direct bolt-ons. Some are not.
o The piping needs to be fitted up. Because of the bends and couplers included, it should be simple.
o The T3 turbo flange needs to be welded to an adapter pipe or directly to the stock manifold.
o To run this on a street car, the turbocharger down pipe will need to be connected to your existing exhaust. Expect to fabricate an adapter pipe or have an exhaust shop connect them.
