Haven't done it yet...I'll probably get it dynoed first with a dynojet so I can get more equivalent numbers...but yeah, a trip to the drags is long overdue...

Very nice numbers and setup! I got my tune done at church as well and while their dyno does read a bit high, the tuners there are the best in socal in my opinion.

Edit: damn forgot I linked to this thread and bumped it from the dead, my bad.

Haha...not my actual birthday, just celebrating...

I think the Ysi is the biggest blower you can get that will still fit the stock S trim brackets, so it's basically as big as you can go without serious mods...

And I may not have numbers for a while...In order to optimize this blower I probably have to get a bigger intercooler and have some custom piping done so I can use the mondo bypass valve, since I'll probably get over 20 psi with this blower....

OR

I may just mount it and pulley up for now so I can run less psi; I'm hoping to improve my torque curve with this blower....

wonder how a 6 rib is gonna cope. Most ysi setups use a 12 rib/cog setup.

ya you'll need 3" charge piping along with the biggest IC you can find with the mondo BPV.

Let me know when you get it installed and tuned. Then we will have something very interesting to test.

928M actually put a Ysi on their race car last year and made over 740whp. They had to ditch the 8-rib setup and go with a cog setup... Good luck with the 6-rib setup.

Is it going to fit in a 350Z?

exactly why i never went with a Ysi and went turbo instead. 6 rib is gonna burn up when you erally lean on it. ppl cant get the normal V3 to not slip alot of times.

You will want the most belt wrap possible. I'd def go with an ATI or Fluidampr oversized crank pulley. Anything you can do to increase belt wrap without going to a smaller serp pulley.

Thanks for the compliments guys...

All good points as well....I am really jumping into the unknown a bit here, but it should be interesting...and I'm not going for an-all-at-once type of setup here, probably start by simply bolting it on and go from there slowly bit by bit...I don't have the time or the energy I once did to go for mondo power all at once...not to mention I have a pretty fun daily driver wrx so the need to get the setup going isn't as urgent...

I'm still pretty happy with the 928 impeller setup I have power-wise; what I'm initially hoping for is to improve the torque curve of my setup...I'll probably have to pulley back up for that with this blower can do...then after that slowly but surely build up w/ bigger intercooler, bigger bypass valve...maybe bigger fuel setup...then maybe go for the gusto...

I don't think I'll ever really maximize this blower's potential unfortunately; I don't see myself getting all custom piping (I don't even know if 3" piping all over would fit) or converting to an all cog setup....but if I can break 600 whp dynojet with a decent torque curve I'll be pretty happy...

But I don't know when I'm going to even do the initial bolt on yet...but when I do I'll be sure to create a new thread

Id know it will bolt on to the Vortech bracket for the 350z; but the rest is a mystery...

but seriously it should fit, but there will be some mods needed to be done to the radiator core support for the air filter, and maybe to the hood...

Good I already have the fluidampr

Initially I probably won't be spinning the blower anywhere near the 65k rpm limit of this blower, but we'll see if I get the itch for more after that...
