I don't doubt that I could break 700whp if I maximized the Ysi setup on the Z, but don't know if I'll ever need to get there...besides, my IPP Stage 2 engine is only rated to 650 whp...

I'll be happy with ~600whp dynojet and a decent torque curve...for now

you'd route 3" IC pipe just like Powerlab or momentum single kit does. The supercharger is in the same place as the turbo would be.
I'd start with a 34/28 cog pulley setup with a 3.12 serp pulley.

Probably need to add GTM idlers to the revised non-revup belt pattern.

That should get ya started pretty good.

Yes I do my set up has the 928 impeller 34 jack shaft cog 30 cog supercharger pulley.I made the numbers in my sig on a dyno jet with Stillen's stock 8 pound/ 3.12 pulley.

I hear the 3.7's are sturdier and can handle 500 whp...thinking of bumping down the pulleys?

For anyone that's curious, here's a general idea of the physical differences between the S/Sc trim and the Ysi blowers.

But I don't know when I'm going to even do the initial bolt on yet...but when I do I'll be sure to create a new thread

What you need to do to fit the 3" pipe is reposition the volute so that it points straight across towards the passenger side like it does on the 370z stillen kit. Then turn it down to feed into the intercooler. With the pipes routed that way you could even fit a larger radiator as well.

(Edit) After peeking under my hood looks like the pulley will interfere with the volute if you reposition it. You may need to fab up a bracket adapter to make it work as I described above.

If there was a "LIKE" button on here I would press it.

Default Dynojet is here

Sorry, no new updates on the YSI blower install...still running the 928 blower setup...

However, a lot of you guys have been asking about the dynojet numbers for my setup, and here it is finally:

Don't worry about the spike on AFR past 5k rpm, my other runs had a nice straight safe line through there below 12, the instrument just went haywire on the last run...

Just to add, we were having issues with clutch slippage past 5k rpm during the dyno runs; I don't know if it's because my ACT street clutch is worn or if I need to upgrade to the 6 puck clutch... He had to smoothly accelerate the car rather than gunning it...

I don't know if I will re-do the dyno after I get the clutch replaced; I may switch to the YSI blower by then, we'll see...

Much props to MD Automotive who did the dyno runs; these guys are cool, all of you guys who follow Dave Coleman/ MOTOIQ, I saw the famous Frankenmiata at the shop, I guess they work on the car over there....MD Automotive also does dyno baselines for Edmunds, so they're legit....

Very nice numbers in deed! BTW, I think most people are more familiar with SAE instead of STD, we can still get that by looking at the correction factor but it'll be nice if the graph was using it as well.

I don't think you go on to g35driver but there is a guy that has a v7 on his car for some time now. Might be worth it to chit chat with him to see how his setup is going and how he is resolving the belt issue. andrewstclair is his screenname

How do you convert STD to SAE?

I am on driver, just not as often, yeah I will check with andrewstclair...

- EDIT -

Just checked out andrewstclair's info...he's pretty hardcore, full cog setup and NOS to boot...no posts about his power though, but his car is probably pretty badass...

doooood if i had known people were realistically trying for 600whp up to 700whp through a modified vortech setup I would have never started this twin turbo setup....

Welll...some of you guys are probably wondering what happened to my YSi project...I had successfully installed the blower and went in for a tune; during the tune a hose was used to hold the intake filter got sucked into the blower...I sent the blower back to Vortech and they said it was totalled

I couldn't justify shelling out another 3k for a new YSi, so I decided to try overspinning the 928 Impeller and seeing what I can get...and here's what I got:

I'll generate a new thread with all the details...maybe one day I'll try the YSi again, but for now this will do...I have the feeling that 700whp is attainable with the YSi
