Default odd problem arose at the track...05 revup G

Disclaimer. I dont have a boost gauge yet. i didnt when this occured. im getting one tomorrow.

So i have had my vortech kit on for about a month and went to the track on friday to see how i performed.. it was very hot and humid after i drove 30mins to the track, ~ 88* and 60-70% humidity. i parked for about 15 mins to bs with my buddies then i got in line against a guy from work who was running my old 00 maxima. we staged and i got a crappy launch ( like usual). just as i got to the top of first, which i reved higher than usual (6900 vs 6600) i felt an odd pop and the car didnt pull as hard as it was. the rest of the run felt slow as i wasnt getting the normal surge of power. that run was a 14.7 @ 97mph, which i was none too pleased with. i pulled back to the lot and looked the car over looking for anything obvious, to no avail. all i/c pipe couplers appeared tight, belts were tight. so i thought that perhaps i lost the vaccum line to the bypass valve. i looked the best i could and tugged on the line, but it still seemed tight.

so i decided to go for another run, same result. 14.6 @ 97mph. which is what happened all the rest of the night. even when i waited til it was cooler, the best run i pulled was a 14.5 at almost 98mph, which was .3 and ~ 2mph slower than when i was n/a. i was baffled. i have had no problems whatsoever with the kit since i installed it and ive gotten on it before.

FF to today. i pulled the car in and hooked a vaccum gauge to the line from the intake to the t-fitting for the fmu/bypass valve. sucked and held vaccum and the bypass valve was operating. i adjusted the screw and went from 5 to 7 threads exposed. so then i added another t fitting and installed my vaccum pump in line and i was getting proper vaccum at idle, and when id rev i would go to zero. so i decided to go for a test drive and i was able to see 4-5psi of boost in 2nd gear.

so im baffled. what could cause this problem just for one or 2 days? it was hot and humid on friday but its been just as warm for the past week and a half.

i noticed that the vaccum line from the intake to the fmu/bpv had a coupler with a check valve in it. im assuming that it wasnt from the normal kit as there was no mention of it in the install directions. do i need to maintain it?

i have an 05 revup sedan with a vortech full kit with a 3.12 pulley and unichip. i also have full exhaust.

nothing wrong with the car at all now? no smoking, leaking fluids, etc? is 4-5psi in 2nd normal or would you see more prior to the track day?

4-5psi sounds low...I would think you'd see at the very least 6-7psi.

Anyways, get a proper boost gauge and pressurize your system to see if you dont have any leaks.

when i said 4-5psi, i only got up to 5k ish. i pressurized the lines for the fmu and bypass valve and they held pressure.

running rich pop as in when you let off the throttle? is that what your refering to?

Oh...do you have a wideband?

Also, by pressurizing the system, I meant the intercooler pipes. Pressurize the intercooler pipes.

Buy a 2" PVC end cap at home depot and a 2" PVC Pipe rubber coupler ( 2" PVC stuff is about the equivalent of 2.5" metal piping ). Drill a hole on the pcv cap and install a quick connect air compressor nipple. Install it in the pipe that exits the vortech and connect it to an air compressor...careful not to go over 15-20psi or so...100+psi will surely blow a coupler...lol.
