Regret is wasted emotion.

Although if I could do it over again, I might have gone with a different platform that is FI from the factory and AWD.

everytime i upgrade something else goes wrong so ya, i kick myself every day for going that route. It's nice to have but too much stress during med school.

when i get out and want a toy then it'll be ok. for now it sucks becuase i never have time to work on the car which means no time to go drive it.

This

I regret a few things about going full blown FI on my car.

1. Sleeving the block was not the best idea. Although the there was never an issue with the block, living in South Florida, the engine temp was always in my view.

2. Cost, its freaking expensive to go FI.

3. You lose your a$$ when you sell it

4. There is always that little thought in your mind every time you drive it "is this the time it breaks" . Even though you get it built from a good shop, its still in your mind all the time.

Just my honest opinion from having an 05 vortech and an 06 aps ext full blown car.

I love the optimism in this thread.
As much as I regret not finding this forum sooner, I get this sickening feeling that I never must have found it.
I could say I regret not going turbo straight and left out supercharging but that would be the addict speaking....the truth be told that damn first F/I ride that got my interest and everything since including this forum that fueled my addiction.

I am marra and I am a Boostaholic

Having spoken to Mark about them, he put me off a bit, especially if you get one thats not been rebuilt before.

£25K for the car + a possible £8K rebuild - No thanks

I am only FI Stockblock build for a couple months now and only drive my car on weekends and I am already bored with the power.

I wish I would have waited and gotten everything to go straight for 600+ hp

run away!

this is my fun car and not my daily but it's frustrating because when i have free time to drive the car i spend it working on the car. full build with all the goodies. way too much money for the amount i get to actually have fun with the car. now it's too late to either go back stock or sell (i'll lose my ***).

I wish i did that. You can drive the $hit out of it and not worry about blowing up a ton of expensive parts. I got bored with the power as well but it was still more fun than fixing the car all of the time.
