A friend of mine has a similar setup on his 06 AT G35 Coupe, he running a Vortech supercharger, upgraded supercharge pulley, headers, high-flow cats, exhaust, Cosworth manifold, all the supporting modifications, etc. and on a Dyno Jet he’s putting down just over 340 whp (I think the Cosworth cost him some hp). His car traps somewhere between 106 – 108 mph and I think ran a best of 13.3.

On the same dyno my car in N/A mode put down 258 whp with bolt-on’s and a tune.

I don’t think your car’s really that far off the mark, everything seems okay to me…

Yeah, I was set on a Vortech until I saw his car in action…picked up a PowerLab single turbo kit like a month later, lol

Edit: Do you have a 3.9 or 4.08 final drive in your car?

Took the compression today:

Cyl1 = 190
Cyl2 = 190
Cyl3 = 190
Cyl4 = 185
Cyl5 = 188
Cyl6 = 190

Looks like my engine is not the problem. Maybe it's just the way it is...it's always hot as hell down here so hopefully my new gigantic intercooler ( on the way ) will solve most of my problem.

More timing? How close to detonation are you?

I would go with what adam(z1) said. SOmeone had a build thread in the NA section a while back and cut open the merge collector on those megans and it was abysmal. Thats where I would start.

I don't know how close to detonation I am, but I'm already pushing 18-19 deg and sometimes it'll even hit 20* on a cool run...I'm kinda scared to go any higher.

On the stock manifolds with testpipes the numbers were equally as sad. I don't know if the headers helped me, but they aren't hurting me either...In any case I just wasted my money on them.

As for the collector, it looks clean and precise on mine. The cuts were smooth and the angles weren't bad either...compared to stock ( where the outlet of the inner pipe is tiny and ovalish ), these looked a lot better. I saw the ones you are talking about...and while they may not be the best collectors I've seen, they are not horrid either. They just get the job done.

truthfully at 11psi that sounds about right with an AT. If you look at 400ish hp with the average 6mt at 11psi then that's about 10% off.

Your AITs are very controlled, new IC wont do much. That's only helpful if you are pining bc your are getting too hot and the EMS is pulling timing, which isnt the case.

Doesnt hurt though, like the headers

Well, in a 1st through 4th run my IAT will go from 100 to around 160* and if I do 2 or more consecutive runs it'll climb to over 180*. For a car running just 11psi...I find that ridiculous. My previous GTI 1.8T would never go over 140* and it was pushing 30psi. Either way, as you said, it can't hurt...lol.

Yeah.... I agree with changing the 20"s......I was told it's robbing me of power on the dyno.....

Now all I have to do is find someone that will lend me some wheels to try it out at the dyno.

dude wheels might help a little but i suggest you get your expectations in check and listen to those on here who know what they're talking about. Those numbers are not really far off for your particular setup on a 5at.

Some say what you are saying, others say it's horridly low. Doing the compression check today made me at least feel comfortable about my engine not being dead. I'm okay with how it feels, I just didn't want it to be a problem that I'm not seeing and will eventually break my car.

Anyways, today I cleaned the air filter ( it was pretty nasty ) and I discovered this...

My car has an elbow with a filter down the wheel well and the PCV system is not hooked up to the inlet so it seems like the oil is all from the SC.

I guess my seals are shot? I have over spun the SC quite a few times so I'm not exactly surprised. My bearing don't make any more noise than they've always had so I think they are good. I guess now is a good time to switch to better seals and a 928 impeller?

Seals are $50 or so from 928 Motorsports for the inner / outer seal set, you could change them out in a couple of hours. I did a diy on how to replace the outer seal, though it looks like you will want to replace the inner seal too.
