Sorry OP for the off topic post
Are you gonna upgrade ur rear axles? With that much power, you might wanna roll off the line then gun it

^ Ha no problem man. I will eventually upgrade the axles that for sure. I dont plan on running it at a track until the fall when the weather is a lil more power friendly. Buy then I'll have slicks and ordered axles....if nothing happens before then ha.

axles are about 1/3 the price of your budget build. probably want to make sure you are going to run enough at the strip to justify them.

FWIW, your sig is pretty petty.

Yea I agree with you. It would be a waste to only use them a few times, but at the same time I'd rather not snap an axle or anything and then be stuck. I may for now just grab another set of OEM ones and bring them with me incase. HAHA thanks about the sig

It's cool I wasn't arguing the power you made just pointing out that DJ numbers are pretty much the only ones you can advertise without specifying the type of dyno or other factors involved. You mention the DP you used was calibrated against a DJ so that's cool but it's just usually not the case.

Dude, that is alot much of a shorter spec list then I imagined.

I'm sort of kicking myself now as I'm currently doing a 400whp Vortech setup and I was considering on buying the IPP shortblock myself... Hmm.. maybe next year.

This is AWSOME! - All luck to you... hope it lasts a significant number of miles. Make sure you keep us posted on things.

You are just saying what most are thinking....and giving the OP a heads up on what to expect from a DJ or even worst a DD. Nothing wrong with giving good advise

Traps will be the true test of the cars power. I plan on getting to the track later this summer or early fall when it isn't 90* out everyday.

I agree on the DP reading higher, but who cares about dyno numbers, no doubt the car is strong.

Ive seen tons of dyno #'s/track time runs to compare to, and I can tell you for sure, 600whp on a DJ with a Greddy kit will go 132mph full weight on radials slightly spinning. For reference thats slightly over 550whp on a DD.

490whp on a DD/525whp on a DJ can do 127ish mph.

This setup and powerband, on race gas should have no issues 133mph on a bad day if the driver does his part. Well done!

The only annoying part to those mph with these cars (on a 26in tire, and 3.5 diff)...is having to shift into 5th...ugh....unless you rev the bujeeses outta it.

HEY, Congrats on the success. I was curious what you did exactly to counteract the blow-by problem. I find that when I run my high boost setting, I fill up my oil catch can faster than I'd like, and was looking for a simple solution which you seem to have figured out. Do share. Pics would be even better. Thanks.

Thanks man, as for the catch can/blow by issue I made a fairly easy/simple mod. My upper oil pan was tapped from when I was votech before so I pulled out the plug and ran a drain tube from the catch can to the upper pan. I am also venting the catch can to the atmosphere which helps make sure that when oil does enter the can it is right away sent back to the pan and therefore doesn't sit in the can and have moisture collect in it turning it to sludge. I don't have any pics of the setup and really don't think I could get any good shots since you can't see the return line anywhere since it's being blocked by the i/c piping and other crap in the bay. Hope this helps though....
