Default Blown Vortech?

I just recently picked up my Z from the shop and have to say that i couldnt be any happier, however i think my first FI problem has come up. I noticed my blower sounds a little bit broken in a sense. I think i might need a rebuild but not sure. Here is a quick video of how it sounds. Hopefully someone can help me out. Thanks

sounds ok to me. the vortech kit is kind of known to make some funny noises on these cars. that's pretty much exactly how mine has sounded since day 1 of the s/c being in it. thats why a lot of people have their idle turned up a hair. if you rev it to 9 hundred rpm's the sound should go away. as long as it pulls fine and boost's fine you shouldnt have anything to worry about.

they make rattle noises at idle..its hard to tell from ur video what yours is doing..if it is just doing it at idle then its fine..it would make the noise all the time if it were the bearings and be a metal on metal sound..it is recommended to bump your idle up to avoid having that rattle noise...Try to put ur ac on and see if it goes away...By doing that it will bump ur idle up a little when the fans kick on..i used to have mine on when in stop and go traffic in town so it would idle a little higher and not make that noise..

I believe the idle was raised however i will double check on my way to work. It seems to only make the noise when at idle and only when stopping completely at a stop sign or light but thats it.

thats just the way they sound man. i just went through this w/ my vortech. my bearings were shot so i rebuilt mine. the bad bearing sounds is like the charger is whinning.. dont worry about ur sound. they only way to get it to go away is to get ur idle bumped up.
