If it's not premade by a known company or high speed JDM company, you are going to get some poop for it. You see, 'round here, these boys are not into getting their hands dirty.

But I like seeing some custom, preferably self/home made stuff. If you go for it, document it and maybe someday, someone 'round these parts will follow your lead.

And if you try it and it fails, then someone will say, "see you should have went with a known or high speed JDM company's kit and you wouldn't have that problem". lol

You seem very intelligent, can you show a diagram of how you will top mount a turbo in a HR engine bay supra-esque style.
Here's a pic to get you started

That's easy; just cut a hole in the hood.

i have a top mount setup. its completely custom, a buddy of mine, quamen built this top mount himself for his old setup. ive since bought the turbo setup for my track car, and his custom intake manifold for my tt street car. there is alot of work into the kit, and alot needs to be done. also keep in mind the whole front end rad support is custom. if you do not know how to fabricate/weld, id recommend against it and opt for a proven kit.

some issues that he addressed in his initial post included:

I had to do quite a bit to get it all to work. Things that come to mind are:
1) EVAP system had to be vented to atmosphere
2) Fuel supply line had to be rerouted
3) Custom Howe Radiator (which still cost less than what a Z radiator cost)
4) No A/C
5) No heater core connections
6) Special engine mounts for clearance of the down pipe
7) Relocate all the O2 sensors
8) Alternator on driver side with new power cable
9) Relocate power steering pump
10) New AN lines for all of the power steering

heres some pics of it assembled on his car, i'll have more of it dissassembled in my garage and progress as it goes into my track car.

You want me to figure out how to mount it? Why would I use my time to do so, I'm not going to turbo my Z and deal with turbo headaches. You seem pretty intelligent too, but I'm not sure where you got the idea that I was going to build a turbo HR Z.

Um...we have a "V" engine. I believe a "Top Mounted" Turbo is for inline engines only.

No, I do not know much about FI, as far as the build for Dec goes, I have someone who is a great fabricator, willing to work around any problem, and most importantly a great friend, no I am not stirring things up, I came to ask a question which apparently is a hard task on this forum cause you get a lot of BS.

No, It can be done, I believe it has something to do with routing a exhaust pipe from the manifold with the turbo to the other exhaust manifold, but I could be wrong.

OP anything can be done your imagination it really the limit. The real question is will it work efficiently. I know that you are looking for a shiny flashy looking turbo snail to be easily seen whenever you open the hood.
but...
Could you tell me right quick what would be a better motor for my Skyline, a Gallo 12 or a Gallo 24?

I'm not? What is it that you think I know or don't know? I know one thing, this forum likes to hate on everyone that attempts to think outside of the box. If it's not premade and expensive, you get hate here. I don't remember saying much else. There are some guys doing things on their own, but few compared to the ones that don't. So what's the hate for me about? Just wanted to talk some poop on a forum? Oh yeah, I remember, this is exactly what I'm talking about. lol Haters gon hate.

I totally .... TOTALLY disagree with this post

A member on here came up with a crazy idea ( so it seemed to us at the time) to mount a big turbo in the center of the car net to the transmission ......I don't remember anyone "hating" on him. He started the company from the website not too long ago...... Speak to him.... Company name is Boosted Performance.

From the post above... It looks like members are posting pix to help the OP!!!

The only people that get beat up on are the ones that start STUPID threads or start with the ego crap.... Few more... But I am sure you get my point.

From your attitude it seems like you were a victim of an Internet beat down...
