Default Fuel pumps

I'm trying to get an idea of what pumps everyone is running. I'm looking to make 600+ rwhp so far I'm running a built block with a stg 1 AAM fuel rails and return system with the JWT 700 twin turbo kit. Still working on getting the car finished and tuned but I've read on here that guys are having issues making more than about 500 on the single 255 Walbro pumps. I'm trying to decide on getting the CJM twin pump or a single Areomotive external pump. Thoughts please.

cjm twin pump here

there isn't much testing or results on running an external pump. I'm sure it would work, but i opted the easy route and chose what works instead of doing testing myself.

a big single with a controller is the best choice for safety reasons, but since there is already a twin and triple pump designed for the VQ, thats what we go with.

he could use the Sound Performance triple hanger. Those are standard walbros. It will take a little more work because you have to assemble all of the hanger yourself and i think it might be slightly more expensive. Somewhere in 600$ range for the hanger only, then you need the lines and electrics (and i think lines for hte inside of the tank too) plus another walbro at 100$. I opted for the already assembled thing that i just needed wiring. But Sound performance hanger is another option for you.

I wasn't aware of the fact that we didn't have standard walbros. Which ones do we have rich?

Charles didnt seem to know either as I asked him a flow question a few weeks ago... I guess they just picked the small ones that fit.

The triple hangar needs as much assembly as the twin pump. You just have to take the float off the stock hangar and do the wiring. no different than the twin pump.

oh, i was referring to the unassembled internals. They don't even list it as included in the parts although i think it is. You have to put the pumps in, hook up the hoses and the venturi system. So ya, not much more work, but enough for me to be lazy.

you had to pull the vortech to replace the rear belt? i changed mine in about 5 minutes without taking anything but 1 tensioner pulley off.

and the vortech had to come off everytime that engine came out, until i switched to turbo. I could do a vortech blindfolded now it's so easy.
