odd, my a/f and my timing never changed a single bit no matter how high my iat's got. I was almost certain that jerod from uprev posted about there not being a change.

That was the biggest selling point for me moving to the haltech: the ecu controlling timing and a/f based on temp. Mine never changed. I'll dig up some of my cipher logs from my external hard drive and email them to you. On the vortech with this built engine and 14psi of boost i would regularly get IAT's over 170* and my timing was exactly what i flashed it to be. Never went up and never went down.

Fuel doesn't change ( at least mine never does, coolant temp affects fuel though ), only timing. You have to remember, there is a reason Nissan put an IAT sensor to begin with. Osiris won't allow you to change it anyways so moving to haltech was still a good thing.

I've done a few 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th runs and logged them with osiris and you can see timing slowly going down throughout the run and IAT going up. Let me see if they still exist.

I found a log.

1st gear put out 20* at 6688rpm with 108* IAT

2nd gear put out 18* at 6700rpm with 122* IAT

3rd gear put out 17* at 6613rpm with 135* IAT

The log is uber long to post it up but you get what I mean.

you can clip it in cipher

Mine never changed, maybe i have a bad ecu or something.

Why not just verify this on the FSM? On the FSM for my VQ30, it shows that the IAT is used for diagnosis only and its not part of the listen of sensors that do affect ignition timing.

I checked it out but it seems to only say how to check if it works.

Why would they have that sensor for diagnostics? It would be pretty useless.

I got a Cooling Mist kit ( the new style that has the pump intergrated into the tank ) for $200. They normally cost over $300 though.
