Default Vortech One-Piece Intake Pipe?

Strafe Automotive is thinking about manufacturing a ONE-PIECE INTAKE PIPE for Vortech systems that will delete the UGLY 3-piece intake piping that comes stock with the Vortech system? The idea is to make the intake aesthetically pleasing, smooth out the inner transitions to minimize turbulance leading to the Throttle Body, and to hide the MAF. Theyre thinking about having the option of powdercoated or raw aluminum.

If there is enough interest, Strafe will do a group-buy...

and of course, the more people that are interested, the lower the price.

It's not a bad thing.......It's just been done.........

I would like to see more pictures, one of the mounting block for the MAF sensor and one of it installed in a 350z or g35.

also

Questions
1. what are the material specs?
2. what is the exact inside dia ? or Outside dia? and wall thickness?
3. what is the dia of the stock MAF tube?
3. is there a difference?
4. if so what is the difference?

I really like the look of the polished aluminum. You should also consider making and selling a polished intake tube with a filter for the Vortech head unit that would work with the stock bumper like the Turbonetics and Powerlab setups.

2. what is the exact inside dia ? or Outside dia? and wall thickness?
dont have the exact numbers off hand at the moment.
All I know is, it fits perfect, it looks awesome, and the system works fine

the one-piece intake tube you saw before was the one i sold a few months back (i had an extra one). i made a copy of the one another forum member (caskyline / R RYDE on g35driver) made a few years ago. assuming they copied or did the same as our tubes, it should have a 3" outside diameter, be about 1/16" thick, and be made from stainless steel. you'll also need to pick up a 3" to 2.5" reducer coupler if they don't provide one.
