Hello, i'm wondering if you guys know where my dip stick level should be at after adding an oil pan spacer. is it suppose to read higher on the dip stick or lower since it's extended. thanks!

The dip stick measures the TOP of the oil surface, not the depth. You'll be adding an extra quart to bring it up to that point.

it's reading a bit over the high side. we dumped in 8qts of oil but i also have a oil cooler so i figured some will drain out while we're doing the install. sorry, i forgot to add i have the VQHR37 and our engine might need more oil than usual. my oil pressure currently reading 27-30psi on start up and driving over 3k is 96psi. after warmed up it's about 17-20psi. does that sound right to you?

350hr with a spacer and 19row setrab takes 7qt. 8qt might a bit much.

Why would you remove/add oil based on anything in this thread? YOU have the dipstick, not us. Add/remove oil until the oil is near the full line.

Oil spacer + oil cooler I'm at just under 8 quarts in my 03 350z.

It's my understanding you don't want your oil return line(s) from your turbo submerged, at least while it's running. I keep mine filled between the low and middle area if checked right after shutdown. Around 6 quarts to get there.

You asked where the oil level should be on the dipstick, someone clearly answered you, "the same level as before" so after someone posted up how much oil he used, you said, thanks! I just removed a quart of oil. At that point I said, don't fill your oil based on what someone else says. You have the dipstick and if you read your own thread I'd know to fill the oil near the top of the dipstick where the F line is.

Yep.. use the suggested value of 7qt as an estimate. Almost positive the 370 and hr350 share the same bottom end, there are a number of variables that can change the actual amount required. Best bet is start reading the dipstick after 5qt, slowly add the 6th, 7th or 8th as required.

7qt with a gtm spacer and 19row setrab ~4' -8an tubing brings me almost to the full line. Confirmed. 4 oil changes now... 28qt of damn oil already.
