About 6 months ago they added additional startup tables which indeed help with warm starts. I haven't had any issues since.

So if they start a new thread and get flack or bump and old thread and get flack What is the point to a Forum? As you can see from someone who is knowledgeable (djamps) They added something(or changed) new that wasn't there 2 yrs ago.

Joe go bring your car to another tuner and have them check it out.

+1, uprev put out a fix for this a few months ago. Hot starts are MUCH easier now, although still not as smooth as when cold.

Too rich? Does it reek of fuel after cranking?

I have been having the hot start issue as well. When I went in for my final tune in October there was supposedly a fix out for this but regardless my Osiris pro tuner was still unable to fully rectify the problem. It's "better" I guess but I still have to feather the gas when I warm-hot start. I have the dw 300lph pump and dw 850 injectors, frs and other goodies.

I have 600CC's with fuel return and an unusually high BFS (55psi or so) and went from terrible stinky lawn mower stalling hot starts with fuel found in oil to 100% stock startup and no fuel in oil. It isn't just a matter of 'reflash and fix' the tuner needs to know what to do with the 4 new tables...

I'm having a hot start issue. It started after I replaced the valve covers. Not knowing, I did tamper with the butterfly on the plenum. I did do a TB rest. It starts fine when cold but when hot, to restart I must give it some gas. I do not have any SEL indicators on. The car runs fine when running. I'm not sure if the cam sensor is going bad, faulty MAF or what. Any assistance would be more than welcome.

im also having the same issues with dw 550cc and a walbro 255.

took the car back, had the tuner tweek it. its still doing it.

i have a water temp gauge- it seems like it starts fine until it the temp is at around 180, then it acts a little strange. at 195+ its really an issue.

I'll say it again, and again, and again... this issue is trivial in the hands of the correct tuner.

And I'll say it again and again- guys who know the fixes aren't able to correct the problem (in some cases) so I dare say it sometimes goes a bit deeper.

I was half way messing with you. I know there are a handful of model/years that are harder to get just right. But the 03-07's are pretty straight forward. The HR's can be more difficult. In any case, it will never be exactly like stock at all times (mine has a *slight* hiccup around 150-170f) but in no case should you have to touch the gas pedal or crank more than a couple seconds to start it.

Am I that unattractive?! Well fair enough- and the guys I'm using now aren't pro technically- perhaps we can still discuss particulars? Would really cold plugs be compiling the issue? I've been looking for the answer on some 9s and it sounds like that's two steps to cold for my driving considering my conservative intent with the car. Maybe that it contributing to other peoples problems?

The issue people are having with their startups fuel (way too high IPW during cranking). Colder plugs don't affect startup fuel trims.
