Default Weird boost problem with vortech and boost limiter valve

Hey guys, i have been having a boost problem with my vortech with the boost limiter valve. When i have to valve open almost all the way i build about 12-14lbs, now if i close the valve the whole way i only see about 8lbs and when it blows off the bypass valve flutters like im getting compressor surge. Anybody have any opinions on why this is? Btw the BLV is after the bypass valve beside the IC and i still have the the maxflow bypass valve.

BLV needs to be as close to the Blower Outlet as possible, upstream from the BOV.

How close to the BOV is the BLV?

Do you have pic's of the install?

Sorry no pics rite now, im actually sitting in class. The BLV is almost directly on the other side of the bypass valve on the same pipe. I really dont even want to use it now that my motor is built thats why i was just tryin to close it the whole way, but then when i do i lose boost and get compressor surge. I only put the BLV where i did due to easy access to adjust it.

If you don't what to use it anymore, just put a plug in it.

Well i was figuring shuting it the whole way would be the same as pluging it because compressing the spring the whole way is suppose to hold 30psi, but i mite try to make a plug for it and see what that does.

So, I have my HUA........ Per 928 you can install it anywhere between blower and MAF...

Also, I don't get why your only making 8psi with it closed. you said you see 8psi when it blows off?

Yes when i have it all the way out like the top pic i see about 12-14psi. When i close it like the bottom pic i only see about 8psi early in the rpms and it holds steady through the rpms. Then with the BLV closed, when the bypass valve opens it makes a fluttering noise like the compressor is surging, but yet sounds normal with the BLV open and building 12-14psi. Thats why i am confused on what exactly is going on.

The Bypass Valve should be OPEN from 28-10in Vac, and Closed above 10in Vac thru Boost.

Yea when i said when the bypass valve opens i ment when i let off the gas to actually let it open and vent. As far as i know the bpv is holding shut under boost because when i approach boost the rush of air sound stops and all i hear is blower whine when im on the gas.
