Default Z1 Twin Disc Clutch Assembly Opinions

Anyone in the F/I section have experience with this clutch, please chip in.

I'm in need of a twin as my 3rd single failed in two years and this look like a viable option instead of the spec.

Thanks

my Spec SS was pretty sweet. Held 700ft-lbs with ease.

I upgraded to the ST model during some downtime, so a little nervous about that.

I'd imagine that Z1 clutch is pretty similar to the Spec SS.

JA, I followed your review on the spec. What bugs me, is all the negative reviews.
Yours turned out good but what about the rest?
Could this be due to inconsistencies during manufacturing or the lack of quality checks? it appears that not all spec clutches are created equal.

Seeing you're a vendor but I'll ask anyway.
How many miles on the clutch and is the car a daily driver?
How is the pedal feel compared to stock and how harsh are engagements.
Don't know about this one but your honest opinion, what's the short falls?

ive actually driven this car, so i can comment on the pedal feel also. Its very similar to my JWT, the engagment is very smooth relative to other twin discs ive driven and very daily drivable, this is the clutch i will be installing when i build my block.

Sounds promising, thanks.
Is the flywheel chatter...if any, bearable as a daily?

The car is not a DD we built it to be punished. The owner says he bows it up all the time and gets it catywompus . Short fall is it's chattery on a hill and kind of jerky until you get the hang of it.

Thanks mate.
So it can handle abuse which is most important to me.

I'll mention this to my mate, we're buying 2x to maybe save on shipping.

The initial jerks don't matter much as long as it's controllable as I get to grips with it.
I don't want a nightmare in traffic, that's all.
