Default Exhaust size on FI

The z is going tt this spring..... I have and hks hi power exhaust and the piping is 2.5 as if you didn't know. MY questions is will a 3inch exhaust make that much of a difference considering I'm running 10psi at the most on my stock block.

At stock block I wouldnt worry about switching for a 3" exhaust

From what Ive seen if you want to go above 600whp you would prolly want to go 3", Ive seen some low 600's on a 2.5" exhaust, although it may not be ideal leaving some on the table.

You're fine

Thanks for the response just wanted to know if it would be a noticable gain. If I'm good to 600 great that's all I'll need for awhile

in your case, it wont make any difference. Build your motor, run alot more boost, then switch to 3" dual

made 573rwhp at 14psi with a borla, dual 2.25" upgraded to dual 3", gained nothing... except a way more bad *** and aggressive sound!

yeh.. 2.5 is plenty for your setup. I do want dual 4.5 piping for the looks, though
I want mine to sound like a boat horn or a whale.
