What up Tim. Ysi setup Just curious if your throwing a built engine in and whats your setup going to look like. What kind of cams and compression ratio are you going to be running on your YSI setup? Oh what rpm are you going to be turning that beast at?

Got to ask more questions. Cant to wait to see a run on this setup. So you are having custom 10 rib pulleys made crank, alt, and ps pump? If you dont mind how much is that going to set you back?

Yes, it will be a Built Motor. I just in the planning stage so don't expect anything soon. Trying to get all of the mechanical issues worked out with the YSI first.

Cp Pistions 10 or 11 to 1 compression
Carillo Rods

Still will be on the street, so still working on the Cams

Are you concerned about running that higher compression w/ a potential of up to 35 psi boost?

Awsome. Are you going to try to run a wastegate to limit the boost for the street? 30psi with that high of comp just seems a bit much for a pump tune.

If I have to lower the Boost for the Street, I'll change pulleys.

Do you have the name of the place where you got this new cog belt? I just chewed up my 2nd one, and I'm on my back up belt now. I need to always have one on stand by just in case.

PM Sent

You should not be Tearing Up the Stock Belt.........My Guess, Too Tight.

I just put a Cog New Belt on after 40,000 miles, it still looked in pretty good Shape.

It is either,

Out of alinement

Too Tight ( Must still have some play after Full Hot, 1/2" play Cold )

or Too loose

Can u pm me the info on the stronger cog belt? I recently had my cog belt shred into about 10 thin strands during a 3rd gear pull, never seen that before. Figure i mite as well get a stronger belt if possible since im turning my t-trim pretty hard.

Did anyone use this in the end?

This is what's happened to my cog belt at an event recently:

Can anyone recommend the above belt as a replacement?

if you are breaking cog belts, its too tight.

your serp belt will slip way before you break a properly tensioned cog belt
