Default What oil do you use?

I have a 2006 GT with a Greddt TT kit. I have only put about 3k on the turbo kit and only have 7k on the car. I have only used Greddy GR2 (5w-40) oil which is now discontinued and no where to be found. I called Greddy and was told that Mobile 1 (5w-40) or Motul (5w-40) would be ok for the Greddy turbo's. I am so worried to use the wrong oil. I looked and Motul has like 3 or 4 different 5w-40 engine oils. I am not sure which to use. I would appreciate information from other members who have used a specific brand and weight for a long period of time. Please no dumb comments. I spend a lot of time and money in my car and only want the best. Sorry if others feel its stupid to ask such a question. Thanks, Robert

Mobile 1 0w-40 because that's what a GT-R uses...

Used to be 0w-40 when it was NA, but 15w-50 is what was suggested after the turbo install.

Yeah, theres a bunch of threads with the same topic, kinda of overwhelming information if your researching oil, gotta actually take your time going over everything and what the oils consist of and why, etc....

My favorite is Rotella T(non synthetic, they have a few weights, you pick), or Rotella T6 5w40(synthetic).

5w40 m1 turbo diesel. It performs better than everything else I've tried on my setup verified by Blackstone.

Mobil1 0-40 is fine for street use. If you track the car then I use motul 5w-40 in the summer months and change it frequently between events (call forged ask for tray they will ship it to you and answer your questions )

I'm curious... What else have you tried and had tested by Blackstone? Any experience with Rotella T6?

only run Torco 5w-30 or 40 now...6 quarts in..6 quarts out less a few ounces..car runs fantastic on it..529rwhp and 500 lb ft.

three 118 mile road races @ 5000rpm for the majority of the way and going to the 4th race this April..

Motul 8100 5W/40, then M1 TDT 5W40, then M1 5W/40 ESP, and back to M1 TDT after it beat the other two in terms of wear and TBN. Not a whole range of testing but I only on my 3rd oil change since going FI.

I use Rotella T6 synthetic, and have no complaints. Before that I used M1 0w40. Both are good IMO.

Not sure if this info was posted in one of the previous threads, but thought I would pass it on.
