sounds about right to me. back when i was 482whp(dynojet)461whp(DD) i was trapping 122-124 with stock wheels and tires, so i'd say the weight of the g and easy launches accounts for those couple miles per hour.

by the way I used to wheel hop 2nd gear real bad. Haven't been to the track with my new tires but they don't hop on the street.

you answered your own question in this post,if the rears are all the way stiff you have too much compression and are bouncing the tires off the track.leave the fronts stiff and back off the rears to a softer setting.like alberto said 25#s in the rear will take some of the shock out as well.

people always think wheel hop is from too soft (it is sometimes)but usually it's too stiff of a compression setting in the rear and you are literally bouncing the rear tires off the track, once you bounce it just grows as you stay in it.

It did the same thing on the OE Shocks, thats why i stiffened them, i have the softest rear springs available, I thought the rear was way to soft, so i bought the Konis and still have hop

research rebound and compression (not on this site) and you will understand.....you need to soften compression on the rear

Being a Junior in Mechanical Engineering i understand rebound and compression, which that may still be the problem, but i know of G/Zs with stock suspension with the same problems and the same for Gs with stiff coils

apparently you don't understand how it's applied to drag racing, thats why i'm telling you that you are shocking the tires, soften compression and the rear will squat.....squat is good.....set your coil over about halfway and set your compression to about 30% and rebound to about 80%

now let's recap:

drag race..........

medium/soft spring middle setting
compression soft
rebound medium/stiff

stock struts sucks but are usually better then coil-overs cause idiots don't know how to adjust them. They adjust them "to look cool" and set the car up for drift unwittingly.

g luck

You are talking about the rear bushing in singular form...did you only replace the very back one or did you replace all 5?

Yes i just replaced the rear, at the time i was NA and wasn't planning on dragging the car much and the rear one was the only one busted. So i guess the front ones being soft could still be allowing hop
I didn't think about that...

Considering no one sells them separately anymore. You may have to get them made. I believe JasonZ-YA did.

Im sure he'll chime in.

Looks like he used SPL https://my350z.com/forum/engine-driv...mp-either.html

I believe this is also why i keep snapping the rear stud, since the front is moving. So lesson learned DO NOT REPLACE JUST THE REAR MOUNT

I bet he took measurements prior

In the past SPL would sell the diff/subframe bushings separately. Not anymore. I assume for this reason.

i had to put my stock rear setup back on for the same reason. my stockers were softer than the softest setting on my teins.
