I've dealt with OP previously and he's legit, I know he was in the process of moving so that might be the hold. UsingtheJohn if this makes you feel any better, I traded him my SFR intake manifold for his Cosworth on straight up trust.. my word & his word...

I'll take your word. I know he has a high iTrader and nothing negative has been said about him.
Thanks

Hopefully you paid through paypal and at this point i'd say it's time to file a complaint and get your money back. I know people have stuff come up and can't get back to you right away but with today's technology it shouldn't take but 5 mins to send an email even through your phone. I'd get your money back and find another used kit. I know of a GTM TT kit that will be coming up for sale soon.

I did pay through paypal but I screwed up. I sent the payment as a gift. So I know they won't help me.

I was receiving payments on a kit I sold, which I in turn used to pay for this kit. Since he agreed to that schedule I sent as gifts so he'd avoid fees. If he flakes on the sale its my fault-I shouldn't have sent the money as gifts.

So If this falls through it's my own fault

Dammm, well he's a premier member so hopefully he's got a good excuse like being in jail because you can get on the internet for free at a library if your cell gets shut off or internet gets disconnected. Other than jail there are no excuses in my book.

Agreed. Death and/or Jail are the only valid excuses for taking money from someone and not sending the goods. I'm not saying I hope either of these are the reason, but this guy better have a good story.

And John, you are too nice. I don't care if you paid him with Trident gum, if he accepted payment it is no one's fault but his own for not following through with his end of the deal. Period.

Well if he really did flake on our deal, I dont have recourse.

I googled his name and found his Facebook page. It lists him as being in Bangkok. His cell is on but goes straight to voicemail. I'm hoping for the best but have resigned myself to the fact I'm out $4k.

Fml...

He's a stand up guy...hopefully nothing bad happened to him... I bought stuff from him in the thousands of dollars and it all arrived as described in great packaging without a hitch.

Those of you who have dealt with him in the past or know him, can you use any contacts you have to try and help resolve this issue? $4,000 is no chump change to just be written off. I'm sure you already have messaged him on facebook, but I would also look for family members and start asking where he's at. Maybe just explain in a short message that you bought something off of him and would like to ask him some questions about the product?
