I like this one better

Note to self:
1. Learn how to drag
2. Turn the A/C off
3. Use the proper traction control
4. Roll the windows up
5. Get ready for humble pie
Even though I was beat by half the cars there I wasn't surprised. I was beat by cars with 525+hp at the crank. The owner of the G8 stated to me that his car has 12k in mods and it's fast to say the least.
My stock C5Z definitely held it's own and ran flawlessly everytime (minus me). Even though this was my first time dragging on an airstrip, I had a blast. For so long I've always been about driving right or left, this was refreshing to say the least. I'll never miss again and next by year I'll have practiced, I made way too many mistakes. The rolling starts and getting the pedal down at the right time eluded me almost every time.

So Paul you doing a turbo upgrade? Hard to compete against AWD traction. Although Hal showed it was possible, at least in 4th gear with a lot more power. I don't see anyone displacing a low 9 sec Z anytime soon on the airstrip, so I'll have to settle for just beating you and Marshall next year.

I didn't lose by as much as I thought I might. I definitely ran out of steam up top - had a chance and then he just pulled a solid 1/2 car ahead. I did gather some interesting data during the day to help me for next year though. In particular, while I was seeing boost of max 18 psi at the manifold, the turbo outlet compressor pressure on the driver side was 24 psi and the passenger side was 23 psi. So I'm losing 5-6 psi through pressure drop in my ICs I talked to Jim Wolf on Friday and he said to max out the 700bb he highly recommends a vertical flow intercooler. And that means a new bumper. Had a deposit down for a new poly Inven but that plan will have to change. Kuruma most likely...
