Default Took off my upper manifold and here is what I found....

I am changing my plugs and decided to take off my manifold to do an inspection. Does this seem like an excessive amount of oil? (picture one) There seems to be a small pool on the right side. Also I noticed oil on the threads of the manifold bolts. Should I tap off the driver's side of the engine to my catch can? Right now I am just going off the pcv valve and routing back into my manifold. My bigger concern is with the plastic spacers that came with my Powerlab Manifold Spacer. These spacers (second picture) seem to be cracked and now I am fearing that a piece could fall off and get sucked into my engine. Did they revise these to aluminum spacers? I got one of the first powerlab spacer kits back in 2008. Can I buy new spacers? Now I'm trying to remember where I bought this spacer from. I will go through my file tonight to find the receipt. Thanks for any input.

Also, I have meth injection. This is most likely what is causing these spacers to crack. Something to think about if any of you are using the PowerLab spacer with these plastic spacers.

hmm, i dont see much oil from your pic at all. i have a plenum spacer and have been running 50/50 meth/water for a few thousand miles; my plastic spacers dont look like that. maybe you over torqued the bolts?

I'm pretty sure I put them in right but who knows it's been 3 years. I didn't have any leaks when I pressure tested my system. I think the meth was the culprit. Thanks for the heads up on calling Intense, I'll call them tomorrow and get some new spacers. So any out there with meth and any sort of plastic in the intake this might be something worth checking out.

Check if installed correctly and torque specs. Oh well...just get new spacers. Don't see much oil either. Pic too dark.

Sounds like I am good on the oil, I focused on the driver's side because the passenger side didn't have much oil at all and no pooling. I did think with the meth it would be all shiny and clean but guess not. I'll make sure not to overtighten the bolts, I think it's 17ft. lbs if I'm not mistaken.

Just hand tighten as much as you can holding a socket driver in one hand (not using any lever arm) and then give it maybe 1/4 turn more. Comes out to about 7 ft-lbs, which is all you need. 17 ft-lbs may crack those weak bolts.

You may keep the plenum cleaner using a catch can.

Just called Intense, they are sending me out new spacers for free! Now that's what I call great customer service!!!! They have changed to a much stronger urethane which should eliminate any possibility for cracking.

Rude doesn't speak on his build. He is having a secret contest with Terry to see who can have the longest build

Plenum looks normal to me...

Awesome on the replacement parts from Intense, I too have been extremely pleased with Pete, Darren, and JJ's help over the process of my build.

Yep, Darren is there no longer tho. just Pete n JJ.. thats why they are so pesky hard to reach lately.
Very short handed, and they are starting some new builds.. as well as adding dust on top of some others.. hee hee.. jk man.

Well, im a crowd pleaser, ladies n gents. Its just what i do.

And the people who breeze across this thread want to see a friggn mouse in an engine. so Im going to give them one. END OF STORY. haha.

The BEST part is that the goole image site i found them off actually used the term "Gangsta @ss mice in my engine".

Gangsta indeed.. gangsta indeeeed.
