Default Blowoffs set at different levels?

So... Another question about something I have noticed on this car.
When hitting boost, and letting off i have a "double" blowoff sound. When I had the car on the lift, i saw 1 Greddy Wastegate, and 1 Tial Wastegate.. (even thought they are one and the same still seemed wierd) I don't believe that they have anything to do with the woosh sound of releasing pressure Correct? Why would I be hearing a double right side left side whoosh.. ?
I appologize if this is a stupid question and appreciate the insite..
Eric

they could quite possibly have different wastegate springs in them. I personally wouldnt run 2 different wastegates. Probably wont hurt anything since its a TT

thats what i was thinking.. it shouldn't hurt it though you think?
that is my main concern..

I am finding that it is way cheaper to buy a already built car, but you spend alot of extra time trying to figure things out and fix what others didn't see as issues!

Maybe you have two BOV's with different springs?

what, BOV is it? I have the HKSSVQ3 which is multi valved and can make multiple venting sounds depending on boosting and throttle.

One question about that..

If i would upgrade from 5lb to 10lb springs would there be any reason i would need to have the car re-tuned? I had a local "tuner" suposedly tell me I would have to and I believe as well as some others that there should be no reason to...

I'm also wondering about the blowoff valve. If there was a wastegate issue, it would be more audiable / evident under load, not after letting off the throttle like the OP asked..

I had an HKS SSQV on my old subaru that made a similar two-stage wooshing sound. Each BOV has a different sound to it!

As for the upgraded wastegate springs from 5lb to 10lb.. Whenever you make any major changes to your engine system like upping the boost, you will always have to compensate with more fuel. Your car will not make this change on its own, your fuel and timing maps will need to be adjusted for the added airflow.

...at least that's how my car works = Þ

Surge. Check your BOV. If you change springs, yes it is a good idea to retune it. Your tuner is smart, you are not.

The boost would tech. B staying the same.
I just want to get rid of the hesitation I experience
When it is building boost. Boost isover 13 lbs.
I am actually taking the car to maperformance in mpls to have it tuned.... the current tune is not good... hopefully we see a big diff. Plus we don't have 92 octane like it was prev. Tuned on...

Does it make you feel good to put someone down that you don't even know? It sure is a good indicator of your maturity level. Thanks for your post it really contributed to the issue.

well, the problem is you would have to retune the boost controller.

It's controlled by the utec...
It's not mapped for the hesitation
So why would the controller need to be changed?
Thanks... e
