machinist needs info: DE block mod for HR gasket

Hey, i'm taking my block to the machinist today. I looked on JWT's website and see the pdf file about the block modification but i'm confused on what it wants to do.
I called and left a message with Sharif but he's busy today so i'm not sure when he will get back to me.
It looks like on both cylinder banks there is a passage for coolant that enters up by cylinders 1 and 2. I'm thinking the instructions want to cut the window larger by taking 11-12 mm of of that thin wall out. This means that the passage for coolant into the block would be extended down.
am i correct on this matter?

It shouldn't cost much. You're going to need the block machined anyway to bore and hoan the cylinders, just have them do the cooling mod at the same time. GTM is not charging me anything for this on my block. The JWT document I mentioned shows where to notch the openings. Here is a link:

My 14 post is enough to know when I build my block I'll take it to someone with experience in the vq platform. That's like going to a dermatologist for a total knee, yea they are both doctors but I'm going to pick they guy who knows knees to do my knee replacement. However you hAve almost 4000 post you must be a ****ing guru.... Wait a minute ur not that's why you are asking people online, the best source for information these days.

A local GTR performance shop uses this machine shop so pretty confident in their skills. Just because they have never performed a machine job that only a few shops in the country have experimented with doesn't mean they can't perform well.
I understand where you are coming from with people taking their blocks to "billy's backwood machine shop" but this is an experienced shop that does work for the local gtr performance shop so i did my homework on them. I've done enough race engines to know to do my background on the local machinists.
