As of right now i have the 2.87 wheel, 600 Deatschwerks injectors, 255 walboro, megan y, and greddy single tic. I got tuned by uprev over in austin. I only put down 370. Dont have the graph yet, still waiting for the email, but il post it when i get it. im currently deployed and had this done while over here. Im not sure what type of dyno it was, but does anyone think that 370 might be a tad low? I want to swap out my greddy for my true dual set up i have, with some high flow cats or test pipes, and a spacer. then retune. any thoughts? i have 03 touring 6spd.
sounds good. Depending on the temperature and dyno that number doesn't sound extremely bad. Usually around the 400hp mark for the 2.87 on a manual but if the timing wasn't set very aggressive then 370 sounds fair. It also matters what octane. Some places only have 91 octane.
Austin has 93 octane available at all gas stations. Also, it has been hot here in texas im sure that is sucking up some of your power. From what i understand uprevs dyno reads on par with most dynos and the numbers aren't inflated. It has been in the 90's all week here in Austin and the humidity is crazy. 370rwhp sounds good to me.
what was your basic run tho?
i have about the same stuff u got expect for the exhaust.. i made 304whp on dynojet, with 91 oct. and it was hot as hell as well. i'm on 5AT tho, and rocking 19" wheels.
imo, that's a good outcome.. enjoy ur ride.

hey thanks everyone for the input, guess my numbers arent to bad. either way its going to be a blast to drive when i come home. i never got a dyno run before the vortech, i had everything installed and then it was towed to uprev. the very first pull on the dyno, the dyno broke. so i had to wait almost another week for the tune. its still early in tx so im waiting for emails to find out everything.
suprasam-good luck over here, im finishing up my 2nd tour and cant wait to leave this **** hole

There is room to improve, but its not horrible. Mine made 392 on the 3.33 that comes in the kit. Add the parts that you mentioned and you should have no trouble getting some healthy gains. Congrats on the setup.
Yea I doubt the headers do much, but with the things he mentioned getting, it should pretty much be the same setup with the exception of the cams. Like I said, after he gets those parts on and a fresh tune, he should have no problem making some nice numbers especially with that pulley.

also, what does everyone elses boost gauge read at idle? i have a aem boost gauge that stays under 0, only goes up a tine bit when revved not driving. havent drove it yet, and my wife doesnt want to drive it before me.
edit* sorry used the search and found what i needed about it reading below 0 at idle. it reads i think at -22, and as far as i can see thats normal for a vortech z. but what about building boost? does it have to be under a load being driven? can u punch the throttle at idle and build boost? its prolly working just fine, im just not home to check it out for myself.
any input on my dyno?

Below zero is vacuum. If it ever changes at idle and sits closer to zero, than you know you have a vacuum leak somewhere. Normal load on the motor will read zero. Give it some gas in a lower gear (since its pulley driven) and you'll start to make boost. If you punch it in 6th gear at normal speeds, it will stick at zero, which is normal.

I was giving an example, not that he could/should/would do it. A lot of people expect it to spool like a turbo when they step on it, and don't understand how it works. I doubt it would blow an engine if you tried it though, but maybe that's why mine hasn't blown.
