Question Quick question… HR head gaskets and 96mm pistons?

Will I be able to use the standard HR head gaskets with 96mm pistons? I’m about to drop off my parts to the machine shop and just wanted to confirm…

Also, does anyone have the part #’s handy for the HR head gaskets? It seems that part #’s changed for the HR gaskets, just want to make sure I have the correct ones (mine look the same as the HR Z gaskets in JWT’s document, but the part number’s matching up to a Murano)?

Thanks!

I have used stock HR gaskets with a .20 overbore and they are fine as long as you have the block machined for the HR coolant cutout (assuming a DE core).

Awesome! Thanks for the input! I just wasn’t 100% sure if I’d need a head gasket to accommodate for the slightly larger bore.

I'm running the standard HR head gaskets with 96mm pistons. Works fine.

Thanks for the confirmation!

Almost made it to the machine shop today too… but my daily decided to do its best G impression and break down during lunch!

Z1 motorsports has them for about $30 a piece, $58.55 for the set. The part numbers are:
11044-JK21A - right side ($30.55)
11044-JK21B - Left side ($30.55)

i just ordered a set with the ARP head studs. Joel called me up and said that he didn't think that i would be able to use them since i bored the motor .020" over. judging by all the proven testimonials on here, i'm going to trust the proof first. The guys there are awesome though, haven't had any issues and they have some really cool stuff at good prices mostly!
