Default 8.8:1 CR on Stock Tune? Shop Sponsors please help.

I have finished my engine build.

Specs:

Stage 1 short block from Import parts pro
Wiseco 8.8:1 compression forged pistons
Eagle Forged rods
ARP Main studs
ARP L19 head studs
BC stage 2 cams
BC heavy duty valve springs w/ titanium retainers

blah blah utec blah blah southbend clutch blah blah ACT streetlite flywheel blah blah

I was waiting on my First time home buyers tax credit that the IRS says wont be in till 8/16/11 at the absolute best. I wont be able to afford the turbos w/out it and I can't stand to be without my Z all summer. So I am gonna throw the engine back in without the turbos. Which will work well for break in anyway BUT:

my question is this, can I run the stock tune on this setup during my 500-700 mile break in period? My tuner is 250 miles away. How much will this compression drop affect my tune?

Can anyone provide some insight?

So, you wanna put the engine back for break in then remove it again to install the TT kit and put it back on? Waste of money and effort IMO.

The only problem I see (beside the above) is the lack of power you will have.

no problem. stock ECu has more than enough compensation to run the car properly

lol. no I'll be engaging in the pain in the a** that is installing a TT kit with the engine in the car. Thanks for the quick answers guys. as far as power goes I've seen (in car craft or a similar publication) that you gain roughly 4% hp/ full point of compression. Using that formula but in a reducing situation I figure it to be around 17 hp under stock. so it shouldn't be bad... if thats correct... we'll find out I guess. Thanks again.
