it could be done if you could fabricate and engine build for sure, esp if you had shop EP. You'd need a bro deal at the machine shop as well

but based on what I spent and how much DIY I did (alot), you need to add a multiplication factor to that 15k$ if you actually want that power to last more than a dyno pull

but that kinda nonsense is why i cant even read on driver anymore. its the blind leading the retards

Fabricating all the supporting mods too I guess? we're talking VQ not 'in general' and WHP not BHP. I can see 600 - 700whp come out of 15k with fab skills, used parts, homie hookups, ect ect but not 1kwhp.

you'd be shocked to know dealer price on stuff, basically 50% line. but without those kinda hook ups, obviously it would be improbable

Saw that when I was poking around on g35driver yesterday. I was going to light him up there but remembered how bad some of the g35 members can be about backing their own up.

Kinda wondering where the "if you make 400hp in a g35 for under $15k, then you didn't do it right" comment came from.

I remember when I had 600whp dreams and the parts I had where easily about 15k alone.

Andrei: Can we build a VQ for 1000whp?

Scott Bush: Sure... bring it by my garage

Andrei: Can you do it for around 15k??

Scott Bush: Sure...We will do a "budget build" just for you with Turbonetics kit, Split Second box, Used 440cc injectors.

Thanks Barnabas for the idea

I think it was a mis-type... originally the argument was for a reliable 400whp, $10k leaves something to be desired UNLESS you buy used kit and/or do the work yourself. No argument there...

The $15k number came from the '1000whp can be had for $15k' and got mixed up with the original 400whp one LOL. These guys can't even keep track of their own BS.

Haha yeah right. I have more than that into my 100% DIY LS2 alum. block+massive turbo. Im figuring I saved more than I actually spent on parts in labor though..But figure 20k out of your actual pocket to get 1000whp..and doing everything yourself.
