Default Greddy TT + Exhaust Question

I've searched and haven't been able to find a G35 or a 350Z that is running a 3" JIC single exhaust with a Greddy 18G kit. I am looking for someone with some experience with it. Should I keep the single or go to dual? My plans are to keep it less than 400rwhp. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

The single 3" will not be restrictive at 400rwhp.

Also, what is a good clutch to go with since mine now has 75K (motor only has 26K)? I plan on hopefully doing the bottem end next year so I'd like a good clutch reccomendation that would accomodate 500-550rwhp and isnt too harsh in traffic.

You could easily pick up a dual exhaust new or used. why would you want to go single exhaust on twins?

JWT or ACT or Exedy are the most popular. Really depends on your budget. I have a OS Giken Twin plate which is good but it definitely doesn't feel like stock.

I don't find if it doesn't feel like stock. I don't want it to be a pain in the @ss in traffic.

If it doesn't feel stock usually means it will be a pain in traffic. My comp. stage 4 and act flywheel was a huge ***** in traffic and in general. Multi-disk clutches are even worse.

It just blew so I went from the light flywheel back to a stock flywheel and a JWT clutch... From what I've heard the JWT is the most like stock, and mated with the OEM flywheel it can't really be beat in terms of drivibility.

As for the exhaust do whatever you want... 400whp isn't too much for any 2.5 - 3" aftermarket exhaust.

Try sending a PM to jtgli or search his build thread. He is running a 4" custom single I believe and it is super quiet till he gets on it.

If you plan to keep it less than 400rwhp then stay with the 3" JIC single exhaust. No need to waste your money. (beside, a 3" single exhaust would sound way better than most of the true dual exhausts out there IMO)

Dont do single unless you go with a 4" custom exhaust like Cass mentioned.

Size DOES matter.

I had single AAM 3" Exhaust mated with 3" downpipe and ypipe and just at only 6 psi i saw a huge difference when i changed to my dual. So i honestly do not recommend 3" single at all even with open dumps

No need for a twin disc at 400rwhp, unless you don't mind wasting money...I had a act 6 puck sprung with my vortech set up and loved it......little hard on the leg, but somtimes ya gotta do wht ya gotta do..... I'm running a TT with a fully built motor and noe need the twin disc.
as far as exhaust I just went true 3'' with the motordyne tdx v2. The badest exhaust by far in my opinion. (( and everyone elses )) You can you tube it all ya want, but ya gotta hear it in person.. I love it and wouldn't put anything else on my car.. GL with everything tho....

Not sure of the dimensions but here's a pic of it on my G. It doesn't hang down below the sway bar. I'm assuming it would be the same on a Z.
