I need some input on my vortech rattle and if its something normal or do i need to get it rebuilt. Basically i broke a oil line from my oil cooler last week and the car was leaking oil a little. When i pulled the car into the garage to jack it up i noticed that my vortech sounded a little "off", basically not the same it sounded before. Since this is a v2 blower it is directly tapped into the upper oil pan and shares the oil with the engine. I checked my oil level and it was about halfway between the two markings, would the oil loss make my blower sound different, maybe not get enough oil? I attached a (crappy) video so you can hear the sound. Im not sure if the blower will need a rebuild or if its just starving for oil and making funny noises. Any input is much appreciated. Thanks

^oh...the "classic" vortech idle issue...
Basically, the higher you set your idle, the better the Vortech blower sounds...a lot of people with Vortech adjust their idle higher (~850 to 950 rpm) in order to avoid the Vortech racket at lower idle rpms...when you turn your AC on your idle goes up, which is why the rattle goes away...
