Default 350z tn fi questions?

Hello I have an 04 z with turbonetics kit( don't hate) it has low compression pistons and possibly forged rods? Not sure the guy didn't no much about it my question is I have a wideband and it runs great on the tn reflash my question is if I wanted to up the boost from 8-10psi do I need a Retune or would the flash compensate for the extra 2lbs? Please be easy on me im new to zs thanks

Considering the TN flash wasn't awesome to start with (and some have reported blown motors on the flash), I would recommend getting a different form of EMS and tune for higher boost. If you are willing to find out with the possible consequence of buying a new motor... report back and let us know

+1 the reflash may not be bad right now but if you want to up the boost its a must that you get a retune. just for the sake of asking what are your AFR's right now OP?

boo on buying a car from someone that didn't know anything about it. That's just asking for trouble.

"umm ya it has the super rods and the magic pistons. I upgraded the aerodynamics to add another 30 hp in 7th gear. why does it have a 7th gear? oh ya, i opened up the trans and added another gear in there so i can pull harder on top end"

Spend some time on here and read all the past posts (going back years) in regards to Turbonetics and various EMS/ECU's..... You'll be overwhelmed but eventually you'll lead yourself to a decision!

you should get a retune everytime you change something regarding boost increase, fuel etc. with a uprev reflash you can go to a shop or get the end user version and learn to do it yourself. some of the stand alone have end user versions too.

ya, you have to get it dyno tuned. Uprev won't be able to tune it by sending it in without logs and all kinds of things. They actually told me they won't do remote tunes on boosted vehicles since there is too many variables.

Take it to a tuner and have it retuned.

Can we just sticky one turbonetics thread and tell people to stop making them?

Update recently noticed when in boost it went to 17 on my aem wideband way to lean I stopped , went home did a boost leak test my bov was leaking boost other than that no leaks what could be causing it sometimes it runs good other like today way to leak? Could the reflash be at fault? What's a good engine management system. that isn't a halltec way to expensive please help would a utec or a uprev be good?gotta be better than the tn reflash

The reflash wouldn't cause the boost leak. I'm assuming you just have the raptor valve, It's junk, get a Tial.

How long ago was the reflash? Go with Uprev if available, but a UTEC would fit your goals as well.
